Riding boots

I still really want those dehner riding boots
Me too :p And I'm depressed about it

I've been looking high and low for the perfect pair at a more "reasonable" price...
can't even tell you how many I've returned

Who would think it was so hard to find the perfect pair with so many around!
My only beef concern with Dehner is, can you return?
I might have to bite the bullet and go for it.
Sick of looking...

I wear my aunt's pd vitage Dior boots from the 80's that have been resoled. I don't really like the tucked-in-jeans look mainly because you have to be really skinny to pull it off, but I wear them under jeans just because they keep my calves warm in the winter.

I have a cheap pair from Jasmine Sola....I love them and everyone thinks they're Burberrys

im envious of you! i dont care how fat i would look, i would love to wear those boots any way possible! :D

Curious, the problem with Dehner is they are custom made. I don't even know if they produced the Zero Maria Cornejo versions. But I have my eye on ebay for Dehner and figure if a pair pops up in my size then I might just go for it.

I have a pair I got last winter (just to be practical - otherwise I walk around with wet feet) and I never really wore them... But you guys have inspired me to pull them out and see what I can do with them! What sort of outfits can you put together? I'm not such a fan of the 'boots tucked in jeans' look, and I find them hard to pull off casually...

a beautiful pair of dehner's are on ebay right now in woman's size 9 item 280054867903 for 15.99!! It's weird. on ebay some dehner's go real cheap and others in the hundreds.

^ Ive been considering ordering Dehners...But Im much too...Hands on, to just order shoes and hope I like them...

The boots calexico provided in Post #20 look pretty good for a variety of bottoms. I'd probably prefer them for stuff like long-enough skirts, jeans, pants, even gaucho pants/culottes. The next page shown boots by the same person in Post #25. Here's something about me. When I've been sick of something, ANYTHING related to it is something I usually respond to with dislike. So for example... when (not if) the cowboy/cowgirl crap finally dies and someone introduces chaps for women to wear and to try to stylise Western wear, I'll immediately hate this thing because of an apparent rebirth of Western-style stuff in the mold of "The Dukes of Hazard" or some '80s crap. So when I seen the riding boots in Post #25 by calexico, I immediately shown my hate of the Country Western deal. The boots in that post ( http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums/1146878-post25.html ) actually don't look bad. I immediately thought of these being paired with a considerably-long skirt or dress or even gaucho pants/culottes. I think I've always had a liking for certain platforms or heels with boots. My emphasis has been on attractive style. Nothing like mid or high heel boots. I'm also big on platforms. But these are still some nice boots. Just don't tuck pants or jeans into them unless it's really cold and snowing. Don't look overdressed.

Speaking of these low-heeled-type boots and gaucho pants, an Asian lady that works for the Financial Aid office at my community college worn some similar boots with mid-calf gauchos. She looked lovely. So experiment pairing these boots with certain bottoms. At least this is better than the cowgirl boots that ladies want to drive me to death with.

i have a vintage pair by etienne aigner. it has got "stirrups" details.

My mom has a gorgeous pair but they're too small for me :(

and it's impossible to find some non-leather ones!!!

if you want some nice riding boots why not go to a tack shop and buy used boots? there are always a selection of authentic boots for very reasonable prices.

I found these on eBay...
