His character in PPB is a musician so it could work him cutting his own hair. Have you guys not read the character description? Here it is -

Rob's playing 21 year old Erik Miller. A guitarist who has found his one true love, though it's going to be hard for him to ask her marry him. He's honest, and learning to be strong; it's just starting to come clear what kind of man he's going to be. He wants to write the perfect song, figure out how to make a living without taking money from his grandfather, and make love to Anna every day for the rest of his life.

Olivia Thirby (Juno, The Wackness) is playing Anna. A beautiful, haunted songwriter who wonders if she'll ever be able to communicate even a little bit of everything she sees and feels. She and Erik just got engaged, and she just found out she's pregnant. Sometimes, out of the corner of her eye, she sees the whole city empty, bears and wolves roaming a primeval forest.

The jist of the story is (the script got posted on IMDB Pro but taken down asap but they forgot that some people know how to right click save like this click off the regular IMDB.) -

In essence wasnt it that Erik was just starting to become a man and then he gets clobbered by his girlfriend getting pregnant. He's trying to be independant but the pregnancy means he has to accept his grandfather's offer of help. He's been refusing him until that point. Dennis Hopper as the grandfather used to work for some chemical company, the one thats helping to cause the threat to the worlds future. I think Rosario's character is a lawyer involved in a case against the pharmacutical company. She's the one that wears the trousers at home and her husband quietly supports her. Hopper's wife is getting frailer and I seem to remember something about her ill health or did I just read that on IMDB? None of them seem to realise the end of the world is night.

I can remember something about Rob and Olivia's characters having a passionate relationship - its volatile and they end up fighting over something trivial like who should do the washing up but after a passionate night of sex its all forgotten.

I did see a photo from a film short that the director did as a trial run for the film. He used different actors but it was clearly a shot of Rob and Olivia's characters on the ground ( a bit like the meadow scenes in Twilight) but they were happy and chatting with one another.

They have already started pre-production which is probably why he is in LA and not London at the mo.

oh sweet it wasn't directed at you, just the little debate after your comment...which i might have taken too seriously sorry, it's that whole christmas-terror that messes up my mind!
but thanks a lot for the PPB-info, sounds like a good movie with a lot of "action" for Rob =) looking forward to that. that guy sure is no 108-year-old virgin...

but perez hilton ninja is reporting, that rob was leaving a photoshoot that day?! i guess he got those pants for the shoot and kept them - he should have kept those vanity fair pants as well, they looked really good on him
but i don't know if that's true...would they shoot promo-shots before shooting the movie?!
