I see what you mean, because when I saw him in Harry Potter, I really, really liked him. I don't really understand how some of his fans say stuff like 'I hate that he'll be famous now' or that other people will like him & whatever else because it's like only certain people are allowed to like him or something when he's an actor and thats what happens... I don't know, I can't explain it.
Besides, he's got the Little Ashes coming out too, so he'll be more exposed for that.

I hate to be an instigator and hopefully that's not how you're going to think of me after this, but I don't exactly understand why so many people are "grr" about him now that he's going to be portraying Edward Cullen. I, too, loved him as Cedric Diggory and he totally made the role, but all him portraying Edward will do is give him more exposure and the opportunity to do more films. That can't be a bad thing, can it?

You are right, kelliann! But I think there are just so many fans of these books people have their own perception and maybe casting Robert was something totally out of their image. It's okay, I felt that same way but with time I actually warmed up to him as Edward and he's a fabulous actor. I'm hoping others will warm up to him as well. I mean, he could honestly blow us away. We'll have to wait and see!

A lot of people have used Gaspard to fill their Edward needs. At first I was one of them, but after really looking at some pictures of Rob and then seeing the on set photos, I was completely enamored with him as Edward. Now I wouldn't have it any other way.
