No, and as far as I know she also has a boyfriend. But I like Kristen a lot. She’s a great actress, breathtakingly beautiful and on top of that she has an incredible aura. In front of the camera we harmonise well, the chemistry is just right.

In “Twilight” we learn a lot about love, what’s your personal message?
I believe love begins/evolves with two people wishing for the same things. Closeness for example, or endless intimacy. The love between Edward and Bella goes beyond any internal or external resistances. That’s very romantic, isn’t it?

Have you ever experienced a love that intensive?
Not really. Maybe I never allowed it to happen yet.

But you’ve had girlfriends before?
Yes, the first when I was 12, that lasted for three weeks. But I’ve also had a relationship that lasted for three years. I have loved but never in the way that I would go: “oh baby, I wanna die for you!” Maybe that’s yet to come.

You’re single at the moment, why?
I don’t know, I just am. The last two years I was constantly moving, I’ve never been in a city for more than a couple of weeks. As soon as I really arrived somewhere I already had to leave again. Even in my hometown of London I could only spend five days this year. That’s too little time to build a real relationship.

How do you cope with being alone?
I sometimes prefer being alone. I don’t like to hang out with people all the time. Of course I go out with friends, but I enjoy the complete silence, it helps me to write e.g. I never got around to doing it in the last years though.

What do you write?
Primarily scripts. I wanted to be a writer before I turned to acting.

Zac Efron is a teen-star at the moment just like you. But he enjoys the hype unlike you.
Zac is completely different from me. I met him twice and he seems like a nice guy. Many times people came up to me and said I was the new Zac Efron. I’m just like:” what? I’m not!” I feel really bad about that comparison. I feel a little sorry for Zac, because he has to lead a perfect life, he mustn’t make any mistakes. Everybody’s watching and judging him. I on the other side can do what I want, nobody cares. That’s great, there isn’t that much pressure on me.

How do you cope with the incredible success?
I live the same life as before, have the same friends and preferences. I seriously didn’t change at all.

But you earn more money!
It’s not that much unfortunately. To tell the truth: I’d like to have more! (laughs)
