EW caught up with Twilight star -- and Oscar presenter -- Robert Pattinson at the Academy Awards' Governors Ball on Sunday night. The actor was hanging out near the party's sushi bar and had just posed for a photograph with one of the girls from Slumdog Millionaire, when he offered this tidbit on his post-Oscar plans: "This is my last night of light. I go up to Canada soon [to shoot the Twlight sequel, New Moon]. And my character goes 50 times darker then it did in the first movie."

The stage manager gave them directions, coaching that he'd withheld from the more experienced presenters. He told them how to walk on and how to walk off. Producer Laurence Mark sipped hot tea behind them. "This is the real deal my darling," the stage manager told Seyfried as she waited to go on. Pattinson stared out at the audience, with that soulful look that has made him such a teen fantasy. When they returned, Seyfried was jumpy with adrenaline and as she was guided away shouted out "Bye, dude!" to Pattinson.

Los Angeles (E! Online) – We had breakfast this morning with Robert Pattinson.

Well, not exactly. But one of our early-rising spies spotted the Oscar-presenting Twilight star grabbing something to eat at the Palihouse hotel in West Hollywood. He tried to go incognito by covering up with a red hoodie. "He was solo and reading a book," our spy reports.

Yeah, but where was he last night?

A wobbly Pattinson was seen having fun at the Night Before benefit for the Motion Picture & Television Fund at the Beverly Hills Hotel. "Everyone was wishing him good luck at the Oscars," a fellow benefit-goer says.
