He looks weird there for some reason. Maybe it's his gross hair but his jaw and eyes also look a bit off...

I don't get some of the fawning in this thread. It's complete sloppiness. It shows a lack of respect for himself, his fans and his profession. His hair is matted; T-shirt wrinkled (and probably unwashed), stubby face... just unkempt and unappealing.

It's attractive if he was in an informal setting. Hanging out with friends and such, but this is at Twilight's press conference, not his living room. International shutterbugs gather here. It is a glimpse at the leading man and the film itself and this is the way he wants to present himself and the film?

I wouldn't want him to be metro-sexual like Zac Ephron, but at least come to a press conference with your shirt ironed and your hair washed.

There are plenty of celebrities that are always a little on the messy side in their personal attire/appearance... Celebs like Johnny Depp, Ashton Kutcher,
and basically every male alternative singer/band member out there.

I don't think him dressing that way/having messy hair is being rude or anything. I'm sure Robert is just being himself and trying not to get caught up in the whole "celebrity" thing. It seems like he's trying to hold onto who he is. Is that such a bad thing?

Going to a press conference with your hair washed and clothes ironed is not a "celebrity thing." It's what people should do. I don't think it's too much to ask. If you look at Johnny Depps photos, he may be unshaven, but not to Rob's extent.

I remember there was one post about a fan who was allowed to touch Rob's hair. She said it felt dirty, like it hadn't been washed for days. If you're a heartthrob and you knew there would be screaming fangurls at the event you're going to, wouldn't you want to at least bathe?

I would never allow my boyfriend to walk out of the door with dirty hair and dirty clothes... and he's not even celebrity. How you look and present yourself does matter.

Maybe au naturale is endearing to some of you guys, but if Rob was your boyfriend and you had to remind him to bathe and wear clean clothes everyday, it'll become a chore.

Just because you are a heartthrob doesn't mean you have to embrace it. :innocent:

Who ever said Rob wanted to be this larger-than-life guy that girls throw themselves at? Maybe not showering is his way of trying to divert some of the girls.

I must say my only complaint about him is that sometimes his hair looks way too greasy, like he hasn't washed it in days. I don't mind his clothes b/c that's just his style, although I wouldn't mind playing stylist for a day w/him. He's adorable either way.

and I want to add that running your fingers through your hair all the time (i know from experience, because I do it quite a lot) makes your hair greasier faster than not washing it for days.

i run my fingers through my hair all the time as well. I don't have a problem with rob's hair or style. Its his look and plus the production doesn't want him to cut his hair so they obviously have no problem with it.

YES! OMG. I know from experience. It's so gross cos I do it all the time, and my hair already gets so horrible after only a few hours. So, I can't imagine having it like that for weeks.
