honestly i think it's a little early to call him "big"...i mean there's a HUGE hype around him now, but he needs to prove himself now and get past the "screaming teeny bopper fans" because those girls move quick. they're in love with him now and maybe again when the next film is coming out (although edward isn't in the second book too much, right? - never read the books) but those screamy-girls will find a new guy soon, i'm sure. plus he doesn't strike me as a zac efron type who likes that role, but more as an independent movies type...if that makes any sense but yeah, he definately has the potential to be big if he chooses his roles wisely so actually i agree with you

^ I totally agree. Right now he's kind of walking down the Ben Barnes path, hot guy with box office movie. A bunch of screaming girls. And then poof, he doesn't have films lined up as of now. Ben who? I just hope Robert gets past that stage and proves to everybody he's capable of handling other roles.

In all honesty, we might even see him going a different path in the future not because he can't go further but he just doesn't seem as interested in film as he does with his music.

He's already got a new film lined up called Parts Per Billion, plus he's filmed Little Ashes which doesn't premiere until spring of 2009.

And speaking of music, I actually find that he's more willing to do films than he is anything to do with his music publicly now that everyone knows about it. First of all, he didn't even know Catherine was going to put his songs into the film. And secondly, he's afraid of the stigma attached to actor/musician types. So, I definitely don't see him ditching acting especially for music instead.
