well, as Chloe said, Reese is the executive producer (financeer) of the movie so that explains her taking the role. i don't think she'd even take the role if she wasn't in a position in which her career is now - at stake. she hasn't had a hit after winning the Oscar which is now a long long time (plus, her announcing her wedding date "appropriately" just in the midst of all the WFE promotion proves it even more). for me, she was too old from the very start and from what i gather it's a general opinion across the fan base/reader base of the book (which is surprising cus you'd think they'd have a problem first and foremost with "that vampire guy getting the role"). i mean, Marlena should look like a woman who just become one, not 30something which is how Reese def looks like, so i agree about the chemistry not being believable looking at these trailers and as one can hope that it will look better in the screen indeed. Rob actually looked convincing in that clip on Leno, IMO, but it's her with the frozen face.Watching the Water for Elephants trailers I can't help feeling like Reese Witherspoon is the worst casting choice ever to me. Robert's acting looks great, Christopher's looks even more brilliant, but Reese seems exposed and over-her-head here. I also don't think that she and Robert will have a chemistry to me that will be believable. I hope I'm wrong...

girls, thanks for all those pics! i love that pic with Tai, seems he really gotten to like her a lot.

So, I can never finish his interviews.
