Robert Pattinson

My friend sent me that picture awhile ago, and the first thing I said wasn't a comment about chest hair or the like... I stated, "It's clearly Photoshopped... British people don't have such heinous curtains." Hahahaha.

Ahahahahaha.

I'm getting sick of all these websites talking about his hair and saying that this lost interest in him because of that and also because he got a new car. Its his own hair and its just hair arghh sorry but it pisses me off when people call themselves fans of someone just because they're attractive

I agree. It frustrates me because it's not as if he's a bad actor, and his work should be more appreciated. Most people don't even know he did those previous made-for-television movies and TV shows, which I think show more of his talent than Twilight, to be honest.

And it's even stupider because the car is a rental.

^exactly!! even if the car wasn't a rental though, I dont care if he bought himself a ferrari or something. he works for it so he deserves it

well the hair thing is ridiculous, i like it, but i wouldn't mind if it looked completely stupid or turned him into the ugliest person in the world. and yeah, his talent should count most of all, but when i like someone/become a fan of someone i also need to like his/her personality and he always seemed humble and down-to-earth. his old(or maybe still) car just fit that and this new(or rental) car could easily be an indicator for his changing personality...does that sentence make sense at all?! what i mean is, i'm just scared he's gonna change into some arrogant stupid movie"star" and i'm sorry to say that, but that would really turn me away. he'd still be a great actor and his films may still be awesome (and i'd still watch them), but i couldn't really be a fan of his persona anymore.
but generally most of these websites just make such a big deal out of this because his hair was his trademark. and why even bother to think about the girls that only liked him because of his hair/his hotness, that won't stay forever anyways...

oh and he can drive whatever car he wants as long as he stays the same person...just to make it clear

He's obviously the same person but it's sad that some things have changed for him. Like for example, he used to perform all of the time in pubs when nobody knew his name; people appreciated his music for the sound and not because it was omg rpattz singing it. That's one of the main reasons he's worried is because he wants people to be genuinely interested in his talent not because of how he looks. I hope Twilight didn't cause him to be typecast (as the pretty boy) in future roles. He's talented (i don't think twilight showed all of his ability, but to each their own!) and deserves every role he obtains.

Though he does seem humble among this madness. I was reading a blog somewhere and a girl posted a picture of them together, she ran into a club and asked for a photo and he looked at her funny and said "how do you people find me!" So far, I don't think the fame got to his head. He seems pretty level-headed.

To me it´s annoying to read the "hair/car" comments because none of those people really know the reasons behind his decisions. Perhaps the haircut is due to PPB, or maybe he was sick of it... the same goes for his car, perhaps the old one broke, perhaps the studio is paying for the rental (if it´s a rental)... we can speculate all we want but at the end of the day we can´t be really sure (unless he gives an interview or something and talks about it). Personally, I like his hair short (but I prefer it longer), I don´t care what car he drives, or who is he friends with...

^isn´t his lack of modern and hip style lovely? seems like he wears what he´s comfortable in, and what he likes. I´m all for his "Seattle circa 1993" flannel jacket look  and he was dazzling in the Vanity Fair shoot suit which he said he liked

tbh i really don't think his style is bad at all. you can see it's his and he doesn't care what others think about it, which to me personal style should be about. not run after trends just wear what you feel comfortable in. and he has this hungover-rockstar look that i love...maybe because my first "love" was a rockstar and had the same kind of style. ironically enough his name is Robert Edward...should that tell me something?! :ninja:

LOL agree. Whole saga is pretty misogynistic and Meyers portrayal of women is archaic but I'm not going to lie, I did like Twilight when I first read it, the others are ridiculous

Yeah I think the books are kinda cheesy and Bella's character is just .. awful at times.. but I have to admit I DID read the 1st two books.. they are catchy, I wanted to find out what would happen..

There was this blog I read part of one time, and it regarded how Twilight was un-Christian especially dealing with the misogynistic aspects of it. It was interesting.

the way i see it, he could live in a box and i would still love him.
he could be bald, and i would still love him.
he could be purple, and i would still love him.

it's his acting and music that i enojy, and especially his interviews
i dont like him because of his hair, or his looks, it's his music/acting that i like.

^ so true,, i dont know if any of you have noticed. but he really doesnt have that great of a body.. and if her werent such a great actor and individual, i probably wouldnt like him.. its really not about his looks for me, its the talent

Well said ^_^
Honestly when I first noticed Rob it was all about looks. But now I've discovered more about him, his funny personality, his music, talents.. And I appreciate that he doesn't like sticking to all those pretty, public school roles.

Btw..Robert Edward?! What a coincidence! :p
