Robert Pattinson

Re Robert Pattinson Drops Out Of 'Parts Per Billion'

I've been waiting for this to be announced. "Rumour" has it that apparently the movie is "on hold" because the finance people pulled out when Rob did. I'm glad his people are blaming New Moon. He's only in a few scenes. Summit are B*tches.

Why they can't film PPB later in the year is beyond me. But then I don't see how they can film New Moon and Eclipse back to back cause Kristen has The Runaways to do and there is no way she will give that part up.

This was said on ONTD and I agree and I like him-
if he doesn't strike while the iron is hot, so to speak, he'll be orlando bloom in a few years

and PS sorry to rant BUT Dan Rad is NOT as one character actor. If people see a boy wizard while watching the WWII My Boy Jack movie then there is something wrong with them and he has only received positive reviews in both London and NY for Equus. Dan is still learning but he's getting better and better.

i don't know if he dropped out or people around him made him. but when he talked about it he seemed existed...on the other hand, maybe he just wants to calm things down around him a bit and not get hunted by the paparazzi so much, he seems to avoid the paparazzi in london quite well. and maybe he rather wants to be the "unknown" indie-actor than the big blockbuster bloke. he couldn't do a lot of things anymore just because of his fame (singing, clubbing - unnoticed) and other than lalohan or hilton who live for pap-attention he is maybe the guy who just wants to act but still be a completely normal person (kristen to me was a name way before twilight and you could never really see candid pics). i don't know if any of this makes sense to you, and i believe the movie would have been good for him, but maybe its the wrong time to go back to LA? if he still is in london (or some other pap-free-er- city). if we see him go to teddys, la conversation or whatever in the next days my theory is f***ed :lol::lol:

i can't belive they've already started the pre-production on the sequel, they're really fast.
money thirst is one funny reflex.

as for his dropping out, i have to say i'm surprised at the fact how strong his contract with summit is when and on the other hand the fact they didn't expected it to be such a huge phenomenom is clear as he has signed few movies before and now has to quit everything.

Rob, at first you were surprised by the fascination the books hold for the fans. Did you also glide into that world while reading them?
Somehow I did. I instantly started reading the first book after the first audition and couldn’t stop reading after I had finished all of them. At first I was like “You’re just reading this because of your job” but at the end I always wanted to know what was gonna happen next.

At first the fans weren’t too happy with you playing Edward, now they love you. How did you experience that change?
I think it would be easier if they still hated me. At least people would sometimes have a little pity for the poor guy that no one likes.

Rob, be honest did you practice Edwards “dazzle-stare” in front of the mirror?
No. I believe that half the time during the close-ups I didn’t even know the camera was rolling, so was just staring dumbly into the air.

How hard is it not to start to laugh when you’re being asked by a teenage girl to bite her?
It gets really funny when you’re being told by a ten-year-old that she wants to have your babies. You’re just thinking “is that even possible for you yet?” it’s funny because apparently many parents love the books because they proclaim(?) abstinence. And every girl is just like “that’s so sexy, I wanna sleep with Edward Cullen!”. You hear that from seven-year-old girls.

If you could just stand up and do whatever you wanted to do now – what would it be?
At the moment I would shoot another movie. Although: a small vacation before that wouldn’t be too bad either. I’d just do something completely different, at a remote place. The whole year I haven’t done anything else but talk about this movie on a daily basis.

and one kristen question because she mentions rob

You celebrated your 18th birthday on set. Did you get any presents?
Yeah, I got something from a couple of people. Rob gave me a guitar which is just beautiful and great.

Robert Pattinson: 'I'm Not Dating Anyone'
By TheImproper.com

Twilight heartthrob Robert Pattinson has been keeping a low profile since he jetted to London Dec. 22 to celebrate the Christmas holidays with his family.
Pattinson, 22, has not been spotted out (at least by paparazzi) in either London or Los Angeles since then, but the media fascination with him has only intensified since Twilight's Nov. 21 U.S. debut.
Fortunately, Rob has learned a thing or two about not letting the white-hot media glare get to him. In 2005, Pattinson starred as Cedric Diggory in the blockbuster fantasy Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Watching how well the film's stars, Daniel Radcliffe, 19, Rupert Grint, 20, and Emma Watson, 18, handle overnight fame and fan adoration has given Rob some perspective.
"The Harry Potter people...are still very, very normal and sane," says Pattinson. "I think it's because they just ignored the surrealness of their lives from an outside perspective and live their lives normally. They didn't treat anyone any differently and didn't treat themselves differently. And they've ended up being completely fine."
However, it bears noting that the fan hysteria and media spectacle surrounding the young Harry Potter stars wasn't nearly as overwhelming, nor were any of them thrust into overnight worldwide heartthrob status as Pattinson has been.
But the unattached Rob maintains a proper perspective on all the adoration. "I'm not dating anyone," he says. "I don't avoid it, but it's weird just knowing that people will talk about stuff."
The reserved and private Rob is also careful to avoid coming off as a womanizer simply for being friendly. He says: "If you try and chat people up, everyone's like, ‘You're just an actor. You probably go around sleeping with everybody.’ So it kind of has the converse effect of what you would have thought."
For the moment, the British hunk has a lot on his plate: In March, he will start shooting New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, in Vancouver and immediately afterward will film the franchise's third installment, Eclipse (2010.)
Separately, Rob has two other movies coming out in 2009. In Little Ashes, which hits theaters March 27, Pattinson portrays the enigmatic artist Salvador Dalí. And in April, Rob can be seen in Summer House, where he plays a boy (Richard) who follows his girlfriend Jane to France for the summer.

lol at this whole answer

Just adding my two cents about PPB.

It's so disappointing that he dropped out. PPB seemed like it could've been his way out of being just Edward. Too bad it's the whole reason he's not doing it anymore. I really don't understand how there could be scheduling conflicts... is he REALLY going to have that much more screen time in NM? I know they want him to cos he's clearly a huge source of their revenue, but... to have to drop a lead role for it? It's frustrating. It seemed like it was gonna be yet another great choice of role.
