Robert Pattinson

Was that picture taken recently? He looks really young but then again that fan picture that was taken of him and Kristen in Brazil, he looked the same as when he was filming the first Twilight movie.

When he does Twilight they always make him shave, do his eyebrows etc, so he always looks younger and (less hairy).

nope. it turned out to be from Italy 2009.

The Bel Ami still looks great. Love the costumes, I also like the other one with just the three leading ladies. Rob carries those period costumes off quite well.

the more i hear and see about BA the less i want to see it. dunno why, well i do- i have a weird relationship with period pieces, but still..something's bugging me about this movie. thank you for the still, tho! :)

^I fear that his acting will be so bad that I´ll have second hand embarassment...

^I haven´t read the script, is that bad?
well, from what i've heard it's not the best one. didn't have time to read it by myself tho.:innocent::ninja:

anyhow, i'm thinking BA will silently pass by to DVDs while WFE might do very good boxoffice wise - there's huge book fanbase and big names attached to the project - i think it could be good.

I really don't expect Bel Ami to do well box office wise but I think it's due more to the fact that it's a period piece and they really don't do well unless it's more action oriented but even they aren't doing well either. Look at Robin Hood with Russell Crowe. I will still watch it but I don't think it will get a wide release, that's if it even shows in America. Now WFE I can't wait for. To me that story line seems a lot more interesting and I think it has the potential to do well.

I don´t care that much about box office, I just want for him to get recognition for his acting rather than his looks. I think he has talent and it´s only a matter of time... *fingers crossed* LOL

I agree Koko with your comment 100% but you know nowadays there's so much emphasis on these guys to have a movie that makes money.

^yeah, sure. but he must have known (or at least his team) that a period movie wouldn´t be a big blockbuster. I think he just want to get away from his Twilight image... I mean, I´m pretty sure he got offers to play those kinda roles.
That said, I´m also more excited for WFE than BA. I´ll download BA but will go to the cinema for WFE :) imo, it will be worth the $4 ticket hehehe

yeah, but no matter how good he performs if it doesn't get recognized by the wider public that knows him only as the Twilight-guy he's screwed career wise (and to get to work on smaller projects with strong plots/crews you have to get recognized boxoffice wise//as accountable - being able to take even just a bit of a burden on your own which he still isnt able - RM being the proof of it in the US, tho he's "looking fine" in rest of the world when it comes to attracting ppl to cinema). i think he has talent and that he might have a very nice career, but it will have to be very carefully planed out - due to Twilight.

^damn you Twilight :judge:

all this talk made me curious, which actors his age are big box office wise and acting chop-y wise? Shia, maybe? (personally, I don´t care for him as an actor)

I really can't think of any that are in his age range except for Shia. But the thing with Shia is that his last movie Wall Street didn't do to well, people thought that he would be able to draw some of the fans from the Transformer movies but he couldn't. I think sometimes they put too much pressure on the young talent and when a movie of theirs doesn't do too well the press is all over it and saying how it bombed but for the older actors not so much. Look at Matt Damon and The Green Zone? It had a budget of around $100 million and it did real bad but you really didn't hear anything about it. I just think now people go more to see movies for the actual story than for the actor.
