Robert Pattinson

im sure he wasnt wearing a hat inside the church, just outside.
besides its a christening, its not exactly a black tie affair.

Green Day’s “American Idiot” Broadway Musical has been a huge hit, and with the news that it’s becoming a feature film, Robert Pattinson is thought to be the favorite for the lead role.

According to a report, Green Day frontman Billy Joe Armstrong is hoping the “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” stud will audition for the gig.

Given Robert’s penchant for music, it makes sense that he may be a good fit, though nothing has been made official.

“American Idiot” is described as “a story that centers on three disaffected young men, Johnny, Will, and Tunny. Johnny and Tunny flee stifling suburbia and their parents’ restrictions. The pair look for meaning in life and try out the freedom and excitement of the city.”

^I think that would be kinda cool! :p

American Idiot is one of my favourite albums of all time, I can't believe they're planning to make a film out of it!

just thought about it again, I can see him singing but not dancing! :ninja: but I don't think he's going to do that anyway...

(I hope they won't make a cheesy musical film out of it but rather just a film with some live performances inbetween)

^remember that VF online shoot a few years ago? he was dancing... sorta... behind a guy... LOL

I think he would be even more mortified if he did broadway . He's so spazzy but more of "freaking out" kind.

He looks good indeed... and wearing a very decent outfit for his standars :)

by decent do you mean clean ?
i want to see his face more so the beard gots ta go.
hes got such a handsome face, why hide it ?

I just had a horrible thought, what happens if he doesn't shave it  But seriously I need to see that handsome face like you said and all dressed up fancy.

I have to chip in about the whole 'Rob and American Idiot' story. Normally I don't give a toss about the guy but theatre/musicals is my territory. The whole thing about Billie wanting Rob for a film version first came up in 2009, over a year before the show was on Broadway, that sound bite seems to have been dug up since they announced post Broadway that they were going ahead with a film version.
Don't make the mistake of thinking this is a cheesey musical with jazz hands and some nice little dance routines though. It's not. I have friends who were in the original cast and vocally it's a challenge and the choreography was brutal, the injury rate was huge during it's run. Now, I will admit, I haven't heard much of Rob singing so I don't know, but I'm not sure he'd even have the vocal range for this and even if they wrote more script for it (on stage there was next to know no script) the character of Johnny sings in almost all the songs, not that that's a problem on film with regards to stamina, just if it's not very good, that's a whole lot of not very good to have to listen to!
Personally I think anyone is going to have to be spectacular to even come close to reproducing the performance John Gallagher Jr gave on stage. The guy who directed this show was a mentor of mine early in my career, and he'll be doing the film too and I hope he makes the right decision with the casting whoever it will be.
Apologies for the essay/rant :flower:

he looks clean, but this beard is weird. it doesn't look the way it usually looks. nevermind. caveman.

i dont like the beard one bit.
it doesnt suit him
clean shaven and in a nice tailored suit is what he better look like come promo time
or else i may have to fly out there and shave it myself..
then take him back to my house and keep him to myself forever ! muahahhaaaa...
