i went to check the ID of the bag he's been carrying lately. anyhow, it's Mulberry and he was also seen having the luggage bag from Mulberry (it's the one on the top in the last airport pics). seems someone got a nice package from the designer house.

i so hope he does well acting wise in this movie. he needs it (he's already on an okay path, but this would really cement it for future projects).

I really hope so as well... but if Cronenberg picked him then he must have seen something worthy in his acting, I don´t think he cast him just because of Twilight´s success...

apparently Cronenberg didn't even see Twilight movies, he just observed Rob in interviews and then watched Remember me. i find this really interesting (not only in terms of "good for Rob that he makes such a strong impression" but also) cus it's a weird example of casting and the process that Cronenberg as a director has when it comes to movies.
Rob seems like he really knows and sees that he needs to improve, but, i know it's subjective, i think he IS getting better from movie to movie indeed. he seems like a worker and from what i got he doesn't plan on having a vacation so my guess is that he's just being picky/in the middle of big negotiations at the moment.

I remember reading somewhere that Mulberry supplied the luggage for Edward and Bella when they go on their honeymoon. So I guess at the end of the shoot they gave it to Rob or he stole it I could be wrong though

I agree too Daj. He clearly does his homework and is serious about wanting to get better. I would love to know right now what his next project is but I don't mind waiting. I would rather he be picky and get something good. And from some interviews I have seen and read about Cronenberg, to him casting is one of the most important parts to him. So he must of seen something in Rob, which is great for him.

if it's the same luggage then they probably gave it to him (free promotion), cus i doubt anyone would try to steal 1000$ worth bag and then blatantly wear it out and about being so high profiled. on a serious note, i can't believe that not-so-big of a bag is around 900$. it's not even pretty.

we'll see in the movie if it's the same luggage.

Casting Rumor: Robert Pattinson to Star in CHILD 44

November 2, 2011
Summit is out to directors for an adaptation of Tom Rob Smith’s crime drama CHILD 44. The project was originally set up at Fox 2000, with Ridley Scott directing. But while they may not have a director yet, they do have a star, according to what we’re hearing. And that star is none other than Robert Pattinson, the beloved Edward in Summit’s TWILIGHT franchise. RPat would play Leo, a strong-willed former member of the Soviet state police who investigates a series of child killins that are being covered up by the very group he used to lead. It’s pretty different fare for the teen heartthrob, but it’ll give him a good excuse to stretch his acting chops
