The show's music feels like a mission sequence from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The smoke machine adds to that high tech dystopian feel.
I'm a little confused by what is being presented as the clothes. Everything looks very heavy and bulky especially with the unnecessary ruffles/pleats on pieces and those shoes! He hasn't developed a knack for colour or print yet in textiles, so he should have focused on textures and weaves as there were some beautiful propositions.
I kind of liked the first collection in spite of its obvious flaws, and I like this one even better. It seems clearer, and less thrown together.
Like it or not, but at least it seems a personal vision that doesn't look at any other 'brands of the moment'.
On another note, is that Lutz Huelle crossing the room at 11.55?
This is better than his debut. Maybe not as direct, but this look more streamline and focus on dressmaking, less costumes than his first collection. He needs a new stylist because some of the styling choices are still questionable.
There are still gimmicks like the nails and the boots are still ugly. But I'm glad that he is actually put effort to design real clothes, and didn't turn this brand into his personal experimental project.
He’s going for drama but it all looks like Dries’ dead-stock just with gimmicky styling. At least he’s returned to reality and toned down the costume vibe.
He needs to edit but I like it.
I see a potential and some interest in dressmaking…When you compare this to Ludovic de Saint Sernin or others, this is clearly superior.
It’s good but maybe not desirable enough yet.
I love the hairy skirts.
