Rochas S/S 10 Paris

It's nice, it's not anything special (very Dries, but not as exciting), which is frustrating.

My whole problem is, why even bother continuing Rochas? No matter what Zanini does at Rochas, he will be compared to Olivier. Theyskens is like a looming, overwhelming specter haunting the house...it's all anyone can think about, and I just don't see how that can be good for reviews, brand image, or business.:ermm:

I completely agree...
I think the same will be at Nina Ricci as well.
Both collections that were once superb under Olivier, are now just underwhelming because we had seen the best, and they fired it. :(

^ But that's not what happened at Rochas ... the corporate giant owner made a business decision that included no fashion designer being employed, is my recollection ... which is a bit different from being fired/replaced.

^ That's right ... at which point Olivier was already employed elsewhere (Nina Ricci). It's all one big game of musical chairs ...
