Rock 'n' Roll Style / Rocker Chic

Hi I'm new here (only my second post!) and i LOVE the rock 'look'. I have fought hard against this look for myself, as I used to be into rock and punk in my teens in the 80's and I couldn't forget how awful I looked backed then!! But now I have given in to my inner rock goddess and dug out the old Ramones Tshirts, drainpipes and pointy toed stilettos! It's such a great way to wear lo-fi, scruffy clothes and still look like you've made an effort!

I agree with you, and I think that if done right the look can be quite polished, even with torn jeans, as long as you don't go too over the top with accessories. I guess it's a fine line.

I agree, it's tricky to pull off with aplomb. There is a fine line between dressing as you have been fashionably inspired by the 'Rock Chick' look and actually looking like you genuinely listen to heavy metal! (no offense so the metal fans among you).

i'm subconsiously following a trend, but i wont let it go, not yet anyway
i have a leather jacket almost like the one Alex posted but mine is from tyhe oldest 'traditional' bikers store in London.. its a Lewis Leather Original that i've been wearing only too often during the last two seasons.. it just matches with everything, hope i can wear the jacker for at least one more season before i see old school biker jackets all over the place

love the 'official' return of the rock'n'roll/swing/cool cats scene.. total fun, a scream and so NON pretentious
