Designers in a single city tend move in the same direction. They all know each other, their teams intermingle and interchange, they're seeing the same women on the streets, they're seeing the same museum exhibits, reacting to the same shifts in modern life, share the same customers and receive the same feedback from buyers.

And in a way it’s sad because there’s less chances to stand out. Now we have Roland Mouret doing great generic clothes we have seen already at NYFW.
