I agree, TGA. Please, no Freja. She's not classically beautiful enough for Chanel.
And I agree with you -- since Karl has shot her a few times recently, she probably wouldn't be a "surprise" choice, either.
She's the glamazon type of model, like the original supers.

ETA: style_expert and I were of one mind there!![]()
I think we need to remember, Lee said.. "was on the verge of supermodeldem".....not "is on the verge"...so it cant be someone who is still climbing their way up, more or less someone who was hyped up to do so but never made it...iluvjeisa said:It's either of these according to Lee:
Solange, Elise, Bette, Lily D, Anja, Snejana, Behati, Marina Perez, Amanda, Iekeline, Hilary Rhoda, Agyness, Bruna T, Freja.
He says that "someone's mentioned her", and these are the ones mentioned before he said that. He said someone on the verge of breaking through to supermodeldom...well, of these I would guess Anja, Snejana, Freja, Hilary, Iekeliene or possibly Agyness, but it would be cool with Amanda
Actually, sleuthing, you can see that somewhere between November 9, 2006 at 08:55:23 PM and November 10, 2006 at 10:23:46 PM
Lee changed his mind, from that the model had noy been mentioned to that she had been mentioned. So the new Chanel model according to Lee was mentioned inbetween there. Let's see now
That narrows it down to:
Behati
Amanda Moore
Marina Perez
Iekeliene
Freja
Solange
Bruna
Among these, Iekeline, Bruna and Behati should be considered new I guess. That leaves Marina, Solange, Freja and Amanda.
EDIT: Just now, he's mentioned that this model is among the first 20 at the Chanel show and is listed at models.com.
That leaves: Freja.
Hmm, maybe I did something wrong here, I don't know, but it seems a pretty good choice to me![]()

Anja is A-list. Esté Lauder says she isyourbestfriend said:[FONT=verdana, helvetica, arial][SIZE=-1]
Anja Rubik-I dont think she is considered A-list enough
Well, my bets are Trentini or Beha...
preferably Trentini for me
edit> now noticing that the Caroline Trentini hadn't been mentioned, it must be Freja

The only thing that would indicate she's not A-list is her absence from American Vogue and her not being a Meisel favourite...but then neither is Kate Moss.iluvjeisa said:Anja is A-list. Chanel on top of a long term Lauder contract would make Anja a supermodel. More so than Freja, who on the other hand is an overall editorial favourite (although has she done anything in American Vogue yet...?) and a runway queen for two consequtive seasons.
EDIT: Going back to Lee's posts again, it really is after the time that he said "the girl has been mentioned" that someone mentioned Anja. According to what I can see....it's only Freja who fits all the criteria, but it's easy to get it wrong.

CALVIN KLEIN's reputation for sexy ads was launched by the unforgettable appearance of a teenage Brooke Shields telling television audiences that "nothing comes between me and my Calvins", and now the label is making a small screen comeback. From November 20, a new television campaign will see models Doutzen Kroes and Gabriel Aubry putting the more affordable Klein White label into the limelight on an ad that will air during shows including Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives. "We will spend £220 million this year globally on marketing and advertising," said Tom Murry, president and chief operating officer of Calvin Klein Inc, who declined to elaborate on the cost of this campaign. "I would say that this is a significant spend for us." (November 13 2006, AM)

Isn't Doutzen the perfect Calvin Klein girl?

I think advertising in fashion has died out...well at least when i see Kate I start looking at poster...I found myself staring at Claudia Schiffer in Accesorize ;-))) So ... if they don't put something worthy to look at i will just pass away...as if i want to look posh in Prada i don't really care about Sasha. What ads are lacking now is SEX, IDEA and ATTRACTIVNESS...Novelty? Fashion is not about novelty anymore...Does my post made any sense? No? Okay at least u could understand Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer and Prada...who is Sasha?;-)))))
Cheers...
P.S. AND MOVE THESE CELEBRITIES AWAY FROM FASHION...TAKE THEM BACK TO CINEMATOGRAPHY...BRING SUPERMODELS BACK AS IT SMELLS BORING HERE;-)
P.S.S. MADONNA - I LOVE UUUUUUUUUUUU
