S/S 2009 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

I wouldn't be too sure about Sasha for Chanel. The collection is quite romantic and has definitely an Isabela feel to it, so, assuming the styling is the same as at the show, someone like Sasha might look too hard and grungy in those clothes.

I am not too sure about Sasha for Chanel either, but for an entirely different reason. Now, as far as Sasha's "too hard and grungy look", have you seen her Tiffany & Co. ads? She's a perfect romantic leading lady / débutante in them. Very soft and gorgeous.

But I'm still confused as to Calvin Klein mainline. Is it Anna J by Jansson or Anna Sevelezna by Sims?

And so Ryan McGinley is shooting Stella McCartney fragrance and not the mainline, right?

I think it's Anna S by Fabien Baron.

I kinda agree, I am estatic to see how she can translate over in the campaigns, with the different looks and all. It will be nice to see how she does with the different mix of girls and by herself in the campaigns.

i love these girls, but this so-called trendy repetition is just boring and vapid

It's a tad ridiculous to think they all have different faces. It's a tall thin blonde overload, Emma Mclaren looks like Anna, Anna's similar to Toni, Sigrid has been mistaked for Toni, Anabella and Diana F are interchangeable, I've been to Cato's, Imogen's and Nimue's or Marloes's thread several times and I still don't know what they look like. So much for more diversity, where are Arlenis, Sessilee, Chanel and Jourdun?

I don't mind it per say, but these girls do all look the same. I doubt the general public will be able to distinguish one blonde from the other. I'm sorry I can't better mask my disappointment, this just seems a case of let's put 10 girls in this season and never have to use them again.

can we even be sure that Anna J REALLY has 12 campaigns? as someone has said in this thread before, and i agree, its only finalized when you see it in print..and i mean, 12 campaigns.. let's be rational people...

Well i certainly dont belive in that theory entirely.Sadly people that i know, and are not into fashion prefer celebs or well known models (usually Supers) because they like opening a magazine and recognizing the star or the model in the campaign, it gets their attention.

My friend always says: when i see someone like Kate Moss in the mag i stop and pause to look at what she is selling.

wow then the people are really different from the other side of the world!
celebs sell stuff here too but Supers dont. not many knows Linda Evangelista even! the sad thing here is that nobody appreciates the campaigns. even my lecturer who teaches Fashion Advertising and Branding thinks fashion advertisements are silly and frivolous so go figure.
when people here see fashion ads they just think 'well, that dress looks nice.' the models on it are completely invisible to them

No, Caroline is the original and the ultimate Dolce & Gabbana girl. It's really all the other ones you should be wondering about what they're doing there.

i think people think of them as a bit old style right now.so you go new or old but not last year its to soon.also to much money in todays economy, not worth it.also those girls dont really want to work anyway ,to many demands
and to much drama.

Where are the big stars - Gemma, Sasha, Daria, Stam, Natalia V? A campaign here & there doesn't satisfy me. I want to see much more of them.
