S/S 2010 Ad Campaigns (please read post #1 before posting)

saw today Louis Vuitton sunglaces campaign by Olivier Zahm on the presentation in their show room
press kit isnt yet done and ads gonna appear in the mid december
its very terry richarson-esque. almost everything in colour, some on white background, some- on the senset background. all are portraits actually. i spot zahm and andre segurra only. all other are unknown to me, 15 images ang 15 persons on them totally.

dont have any pic yet

^ Indeed. And for male models it's even harder, there aren't that many jobs to begin with (and there are still a bunch of guys competing for the small amount of jobs). I'm not only bitter because they're taking away jobs from models in this instance but also because I&V's work has been lackluster for quite a while now. -_-

+1 Agree, I don't know how he would fit such a youthfull collection, and I have liked most of Lanvin past collections but they're all so different I don't know how to feel about them together, will it be a point when their costumers feel alienated?

Just the idea is amazing!
But do you think that are real twit pics?
I actually don't think so

I don't know if this is true or not, but from The Cut blog:
Meet the New Girl: Lisanne de Jong
Lisanne de Jong might look like the average blonde-haired, blue-eyed newbie that floods the industry season after season, but this rookie is to be taken seriously. After signing with Elite New York earlier this year, the statuesque Dutch teen hit all of casting director Russell Marsh's spring shows in New York: BCBG Max Azria, Hervé Léger, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and Max Azria. In Milan she was placed on exclusive for Prada, and then walked for Miu Miu and Balenciaga in Paris. Booking top runway shows is great, but booking campaigns is what sets a newcomer and rising star apart. Say hello to the newest face of Balenciaga, shot by Steven Meisel; Celine, shot by Jurgen Teller; and Burberry eyewear. Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of this one.

^For gods sake:angry: things are just getting beyond ridiculous now.

Lisanne is even worse Hanna Holman.

I have officially lost all faith in modeling.:(

I wish it wasn't true. She's far too average looking, especially for Balenciaga.

omg Lisanne is so ordinary it's not even funny.celine and burberry are alright by me but Balenciaga is a low blow.

I don't know why everyone is already judging this when we haven't even seen much print work from Lisanne. The way a girl looks in person doesn't necessarily betray how she'll look in print. If she did indeed get the campaign, I'm just happy it went to a new face and not a celeb or super.

Models don't look that drastically different in print. It's not as if their features change shape, they just look like enhanced versions of themselves. I've seen enough of Lisanne in candids and in the print work she has done so far to see she is nothing special. Personally I place pedestrian new girls, of which there are so many, in the same category as celebs and supers. I sometimes wonder what goes through the heads of the photographers, designers and casting directors.

they're cheap! that's what goes through their heads.
an ordinary face doesn't always mean extraordinary pics.

If true, I'm sure Meisel will work his wonders on her. I for one am very excited :buzz:

balenciaga is not that amazing this season so...:innocent:

i wonder who three other girls are...kasia? liya?

I went to Lisanne's thread, thinking some people here were overreacting, but you weren't.
Lisanne is possible the most ordinary model I have ever seen. I think she's a horrible choice for all three brands! :yuk:

I'm guessing Lisanne is one of a few Balenciaga girls, just like she is one of several Celine girls.

I agree with you though; she is nothing particularly special.

I disagree because finally they've chosen new girls and not the same 'old' faces. Maybe it's so fast (making a campaign with newcomers) but it's surprising in a good way. Hope the results will be as great as expectations.

Lisanne is cute so i'm so excited what she does with that futuristic-urban Balenciaga collection. ^_^

I don't have an opinion about this particular model, but I completely agree with this statement, models can look better on camera because they are good posers, good at emoting, wear clothes well or their face catches the light. If models were judged by how they looked in person and / or on the runway, then IMO models like Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha P or Karlie Kloss would never get print work.

i wouldn't be surprised if it were mirte and patricia (if you look in patricia's thread there is a hint about her and balenciaga.)
