Born on Corfu, music and singing has been an integral part of Sakis Rouvas' life since his early childhood.
Gymanstics was his other passion that earned him several national awards.
He has also excelled in pole vaulting and his exceptional talent secured him a place in the Greek National Team.

1996: He acted as a voiceover artist, lending his voice to Quasimodo for the Greek version of Walt Disney's animation "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."
1997: He staged a joint concert with Turkish pop star Burat Kud in the UN-controlled "green line" in Cyprus and was awarded the international Abdi Ipekci Prize at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Athens.
2000: Accomplished songwriter and music producer Desmond Child was co-producer of Rouvas's album Ola Kala. Many songs from this album were also released in France
2001: Sakis performed a concert at the L'Olympia theatre in Paris. Famous Italian fashion designer Valentino, who designed Sakis' outfits, was guest of honour.
2004: Sakis sang for Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest and won third place. His amazing stage performance earned the show 97% in the ratings.
2005: Sakis released one of the most successful albums in the Greek music market. Top Greek composers and songwriters worked to make his album a new hit.
The Mass Media love his charismatic personality, while his talent and successes have captured the interest of several multinational record companies, which saw in him the right person to promote their products. Some of his most famous collaborations are the following:
1999-2003: Sakis landed the leading part in the Pepsi ad campaign in Greece, just like Madonna and Ricky Martin did in the corresponding overseas campaign.
2003-2005: Sakis featured in the Vodafone campaign in Greece, like Michael Schumacher and David Beckham in the corresponding overseas campaign.
2004: Sakis took part in the campaign for the female perfume BU8. Along with Christina Aguilera, they were the only artists who participated in the ad that was released in 14 countries. Famous for the Martini TV ads, Moshe Brakha directed the ad. Sakis Rouvas is to host the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Athens.
