OMG- I had no idea that "Suburban Girl" (aka "The Girls Guide to Hunting and Fishing") was coming straight to DVD! I just saw a commercial for it it on tv. It comes out this Tuesday. I am really excited to get it, but it must be really bad if it didn't even come to the theater!

I think it's such a shame that Sarah's so underrated as an actress. She always seems to get rather mundane roles despite being so talented.

Straight to dvd, that stinks, Im still going to see it though, I love the book and could totally see her in the role.

^ I am definitely going to see it. In fact, I might just buy it on Tuesday. Even if the movie stinks, at least the outfits are cute which we know from all the candids we saw while she was filming.

I'm shocked that it is coming straight to DVD too. Even if the plot isn't so great, all of the outfits SMG wore in the film would have been enought to promote the film and draw viewers to go see it in the theater.

^ I know that it can't just be us tFSers who would run to the theater to see the clothes! Even her movie Simply Irresistible made it to the theater! The clothes must be the highlight of this new movie.

To me the movie had "straight to DVD" written all over it to begin with. Which is a shame because she does look cute in it.

I don't get it because Alec Baldwin was so excited about the move and it got such rave reviews at the Tribeca (?) film festival.. and it had so much hype. I think it was party due to the fact they couldn't find a distrbutor.
It just makes me mad, this is a good movie with reputable actors based on a very popular book.. how does it go straight to DVD and then a movie like Mad Money get so much exposure?

To me the movie had "straight to DVD" written all over it to begin with. Which is a shame because she does look cute in it.

But it's not just the fashion itself. The way she dresses makes it look like a character in a really cute chick flick type of film (like Carrie in Sex and the City) and women love those types of films.

Also, they overlooked the fact that SMG has a huge fanbase. Buffy is one of the biggest cult shows of all time and SMG's fans haven't gone anywhere since the show ended.
