i dont know, everyone looks like that here ^ and im so so so sick of it, its the same everywhere. it really bothers me how people say that these people have such individua, special style. sure some do, but really, they all dress the same to me - indie.

the girl in post #2537 - the "ripped" tights/pants, leather jacket and the little bag on the side. its like that everywhere you go here.

i want to see something new, the whole indie scene has gotten so old to me. i'm probably the only one who thinks this since i live in it.., but just give me something new and more interesting.

 If you are sick of that...I should be vomiting all over the clothes of the people living in my country

^ha! I will second that, I would prefer seeing that on the streets instead of the horrible mass produced trends over here.

Yeah, everyone in my country wears leather jackets! Its driving me crazy. It has lost its individuality to me. But I'd still say the girl in #2537 looks so cute!

The girl in post #2537 looks gorgoeus.Great combination, love the bag and leggings.

I can't say I disagree. Women are very well dressed in Sweden but if you've seen one then you've seen them all. Pretty much every inner city girl wears the same clothes in the same style. You hardly spot someone who makes you go "wow".

London fashion might not be as pretty but when ever you see someone stylish, there is individuality and innovation. Here people stand out rather than fit in.

isnt she cold in leggings? i mean i know that all of the scandinavian countries are freezingg

^ Usually, it's absolutely warm enough! But maybe it would be a bit too cold at the moment, since it is below freezing point... Anyway, I love her style! I also love this girl's style.

It may just be the blogger's photography selections, but I've noticed that the Finnish people have a quirkier style than the other Scandinavians (if one views Finland as part of Scandinavia). They are not as elegant or cutting-edge as Swedes, for example. In fact, they are downright awkward sometimes. But they seem to be so artistic and sweet, at least that's the vibe I get from them (the Swedes kind of intimidate me).

I live in Finland and I agree. Finnish people might be more individual, but they are not usually wearing very elegant stuff. It's more like a mix-match. A lot of colours and weird combinations. Maybe it is so because of our weird drinking culture... Every day is a party.

Every time I go to Stockholm and I see a first stylish person I'm like WOW! But when the trip is over I have seen thousands of people in exactly same outfit. Swedish people adopt all the trends very quickly and then they look very similar. Here it takes longer for any trend to come to the mainstream.

Along with Paris street style, this is my favorite thread!! Scandis are the hottest ppl on earth!!

happycanadian gosh i love your sort of compliment towards scandinavians :D

i think that swedish people is very stylish in general... & especially the punk- & ska inspired guys that's poppin up everywhere, hoho! well yeah, there's lots n lots of very well dressed punks here. niiiice. but there's one look i'm really tired of among the girls, almah.devote.se describes that style best. she looks good in her clothes, she really pulls them of & so, but then there's the try hard h&m-girls who suddenly thinks that grunge is kinda cool, throws away their pastel coloured clothes & runs to monki (like "alternative" h&m) & buys a transparent top & a hat. & yea, don't forget the granny shoes. & well, they look so... confused :( <--- the definition of try hard. like if britney would try to be siouxsie or something. looks wrong. crack ain't cool

oh, i forgot, they think punk is cool too; punk as in alice dellal, not really music... or politics...

i've got great friends both in helsinki and stockholm and i love them all to bits. yeah, the majority of swedes are way more trendy than the finns, but at the same time they all look the bloody same, no matter if they shop at h&m or any of the cool shops like nitty gritty or jus. at the same the people in helsinki, who really are into fashion are quite out there and wear stuff from designers like comme, margiela and raf simons, which would be considered quite freaky in stockholm. they really want to stand out and not blend in. i find helsinki rather similar to reykjavik in style, anyways people look much more interesting in either of these cities than here in paris.

REMINDER: Please try to stick to discussing the Streetstyle of these countries, not their physical appearance
