Throughout its 224 pages, the world’s most exciting artists offer up insights and anecdotes about who and what makes them tick. We go on a Parisian night adventure with double cover star Scarlett Johansson, who talks about her uneasy relationship with fame and why she took a sabbatical from the A-list to go cruising around Glasgow's A-roads in a transit van for indie alien thriller, Under the Skin. We’ve increased the focus on radical style culture too, with Delfina Delettrez Fendi, Kris Van Assche, Proenza Schouler, François Nars and Edie Campbell disclosing some fashionating revelations, plus 50 outstanding pages of SS14 collections shot by the industry’s most innovative photographers and stylists.
We also travel deep into the creative processes of Evian Christ, Shailene Woodley, David Lynch, Metronomy, Eyedress, Micachu and Jonathan Glazer for some of their most revealing interviews to date. In the back section, Jamie Hawkesworth takes up our first art residency with “Sleeping Patterns”, a personal photo project about teen dreamers. Following his lead, each issue we will invite a different artist to curate 12 pages and exhibit original work you won’t see anywhere else. Think of it as the print equivalent of our online Visionaries video series.
Going seasonal doesn’t mean that we’ll be producing half as much content. Far from it. As well as publishing six essential issues a year, we’ll also be doubling the amount of daily exclusives right here on Dazed Digital. We’re starting with a series of unmissable longreads, a breaking news section and the launch of Females First, a radical film initiative that champions women directors. All that, plus more of the emerging talent, comment and opinion you already know and love.
