i agree with everyone that the white flower dress is a bit crafty/chintzy, and not in that usual (successful) Pat Fields way. but here i am assuming it's not designer--anyone know?

i don't think the dress is too bad. there's nothing wrong with white in daylight, is there? or am I missing something?

but i guess i always expect a bit of fun, even when it comes to more showy design by Pat. i just don't see the humor or wit in that dress. it does look much better close-up, though, and maybe it looks even better on screen!

my favourite character is Samantha and i know she's about power dressing and all but i absolunately cannot relate to the 80s style shoulder padding etc and belts...it's really frustrating...I know she's about being bold and confident but surely this can be achieved in a better way! arghh

I agree with this. In 1985, I had a very similar outfit in black that I use to wear at work... Only the shoes were different... I hope the 80s shoulder pads, V shape and the rest are not about to make a come back any time soon!

‘Sex and the City’ Movie Continues Series' Violence Against Fashion

Patricia Field, apparently unsatisfied with the trends she visited on an innocent population when Sex and the City was on the air, is once again running wild and unchecked on the streets of New York. Early today, Jennifer Hudson was spotted wearing stirrup pants. And now, like those weird weeds that appear giant and fully formed, the Giant Flower has returned.

I think the paps pics alone are spoilers enough...

they do that on so many films and it's ruining the movie magic!!

I completely agree. However, I can't help but to stumble on the spoilers or look at the pap pictures! I'm sure that some aspects of the plot will be kept a secret though.
