Share your look book

Ok, so I spent part of the afternoon cutting and searching for inspirational looks. And I had a hard time. I'm guessing you can pretty much go about this anyway you want to, but I didn't want to cut out everything I saw that was gorgeous, just things I either wanted or quotes I loved or beauitful makeup or even just a photograph in a magazine. But for me the clothing was harder. I'm making this more as a creative outlet and a way to find "my style." And so far the things I have are confusing me. I'm trying not to think and just flipping through the pages and if something catches me eye, take a second look and see if it's worth keeping. Any advice? Thanks.

Suggest checking out the "Starting the fashion thing" thread ... I'll try to bump it for you. I do an inspiration board (OK, sometimes--it's in my head this season ;)) focused on the current/upcoming season. Rather than anything & everything inspiring, I focus on what inspires me for right now ...

Here are some pictures of one of my lookbooks. Actually, posting these is making me feel a little guilty as I have a huge box of cuttings that are waiting to be pasted in

Instead of a look book, every season I make a gigantic collage full of photos that inspire me. From celebrity outfits to Couture shows, it's all up there on that big bulletin board I made!

I've decided I'm going to work on two books, one for spring/summer, the other for autumn/winter :woot:

well it's not an actual look book, but when i'm bored i always like spending my time with cutting my old magazines and making little collages of nice runway-looks ^_^

so here are some of them:

My inspiration-corner^_^
This is the summer side, if I turn it I have the winter side:p
I have a lot more collages, but I haven't have enough space to expose them all.
So from time to time I put other collages on the board for other inspiration^_^

^ Check out the color coordination--I am impressed ^_^ You have a lot of work in those, silvi ...

I love your "Look Book" silvi.Awesome job and hard work(although i think it was fun!)

i used to have a look book, then i threw it out now I started up one again but haven't gone through it in ages... no time :(

^^^^thanks girls, i'm really proud with my boards ;)

I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who does this. I have a pile of about thirty magazines that I have to go through and cut out some pictures and articles for my look book. Then I'll recycle them.

As much as I want to start a lookbook, I can't bring myself to cut up my magazines :( I think I might start one on the computer, even though it's not the same as having a physical one I can hold in my hands.

I know it's late but Silvi your book is amazing! I have one in this house which is made up of adverts mainly that I like.
