Shoe sizing

Marc Jacobs ?

Please let me know about the Marc Jacobs sizing:

If I wear Blahnik 6.5/36.5 and Pradas 36 (width: M or B to C),
should I go for Jacobs size 6 or size 6.5?

Help please, I've seen a wonderful pair on Ebay and I am not sure, if I should get it.

Somehow I've got the impression that Marc Jacobs shoes look comfortable - are they?

Thank you so much! :flower:

^ You will be a Marc Jacobs size 36.5 or 6.5. MJ runs true to size, but on the smaller end of true to size, if that makes any sense.

In my experience they're about average on the comfort scale...keep in mind that the footbed is on the narrow side, though.

Chloe Shoe Sizing

Please, can anyone tell me if Chloe shoes run true to size?
Thanks

yes they do. i have several pairs of chloe and i'm a 7.5 in the u.s. and all their shoes fit me in a 37.5

for me it does not, at least not for the chloe paddington boots.
i always heve sie 38 for boots and i ordered the boots in size 38,5 and they were still a little too small for me! i now ordered them in size 39....

oh no -- my fits but they are chloe shoes/heels -- not boots.

i bought chloe sandals last summer (size 7), which were rather a 7.5 or 8, totally too large for me, so i would rather not order chloe shoes again, only buy them in stores....!

^ They tend to run slightly big for me, about half a size larger. That's the case for both my flats and heels.

So usually I size down half for Chloe.

I didn't see such a thread so here it is.
I often find shoe sizes confusing. I would like to start summarizing the shoe sizes by brands:

Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs. True to size, but ordering half size smaller for flats as they "give" more.

Prada: everywhere. normally they run large by half to one shoes size.

How about Marni? are they true to size? are they comfortable?

 smaller? i have to go up a whole size every time with MJ shoes! i find that they have very small sizing....

i agree caffeine, the sizings of shoes are so confusing! it makes it almost impossible to order before you try on

i think that the fact that many shoes are low cut for 'toe cleavage' make it all the more confusing!

Then there's the variety of translations between US and Euro sizes. Example:
US size 10 can be found equated to Euro 40, 41, and even (rarely) 42
US 11 is called Euro 41, 42, or 43 in various places
US 12 is called 42 (Casadei) or 45 (Nine West)

The worst part is I've called vendors to find out which they use, and I get a lot of "I don't know" and "It varies." Big help, huh?

I was comparing MJ to other brands...say Prada. I wear 36 at MJ but 35.5 or even 35 at Prada..and 35 if they are MJ flats.

From my experience, miu miu and lanvin seems to run pretty true to size. I've had to order a half size up in gucci. Pucci is very narrow on the shoes I have.

Good question.

I'm generally a standard Euro 39/UK 6. However...

Alexandre McQueen 39
YSL/Rive Gauche 39
Louis Vuitton 39.5 thru 40.5 (I have a pair of 41's but they are really just a tad too big, but sandals, so can just get away with it...)
Gucci 38, thru 39
Dior/Galliano 40
Prada/Miu Miu 38 thru 39

Still not found a pair of Choo's/Manolo's or Louboutin's I completely love, so any sizing info for those, much appreciated, as I've always wondered if many other people's sizes vary so much?

I'm beginning to think that it even changes by model of shoe.

I am usually a UK 3.5 to 4,a Euro 36 through 37,a US 5.5 to 6.

-Marc Jacobs...I have flats size 36.5,slides and boots size 37. They do run small.

-Jimmy Choo Size 36.5 consistently.NAP.com says they run small to size, this has not been my experience.

-Moschino 36.5

- Ann Demeulemeester boots are MASSIVE...I actually needed a 34 but the smallest is 36:ninja: .

-Prada/miumiu 36.These do run large.

-Gucci...I actually have pumps in 35! They ran really large. But that's just one pair.

Dries van Noten 36.5

Pedro Garcia 36.5

Chie Mihara 36...they run large.

Isabel Marant 37...they are the tiniest.

Helmut Lang 36.5

Costume National 36-36.5;37 in boots because the calves of their boots are always so narrow.

Chloe 36.5

Franklin Elman 36 run large.

I'll add more later when I think of them:lol: .

Can someone tell me how Dior shoes run?? Dont they run a size too small? Seems like thats what I remember from trying them on in the store once, but I dont own any so I cant remember. I am an 8.5, but a 39 would be too small wouldn't it?? TIA. :flower:

Agreed....VERY big...I have some boots which are size 36 but they fit like a 37 or even 37.5....they are one and a half to two sizes bigger.

Actually I don't know if shoes are also this big,or if it's only boots...
