Three shoes, three reviews. Bring them on!
* First up, the mary janes by stellina in Post #9,649. I'd probably refrain from using "wdyt?" until I finally figured out what that means (what do you think?). Anyhow, if you're trying to do irregular shoes, this isn't too bad a shoe. So I'm going to say Yay! for two reasons: 1.) I LOVE mary janes and think the shape of the shoe is brilliant. Most classic femme shoes that will never go away no matter what the gladiator sandal and open-toe boot people think, and 2.) the gold accents + the multiple colors aren't too much an imbalance to be ugly. Too much going on? You bet. Still stylish? That depends on you, but this is too much going on that works. That's the difference. Some other shoes and garments with too much going on end up being stuff that would fit just nicely in a trash incincerator. These mary janes, however, work to me. These are the perfect shoes to take a chance wearing something unreal or unusual.
Now on to two shoes by Citypigeon.
* The sandals/boots in Post #9,656 are nicely-shaped, but the color is a terrible one. I'd rather black or brown. I don't know. I'm actually torn on these. I don't want to say "Nay" because all the open-toe people are going to lynch on me and defend the ugliest of shoes to my eyes. If I had to choose, Yay! But PLEASE find them in a better color than this.
* Finally, the sandals from the same post. I do like the style of it, but overall, it's a Nay! Not too lovely to me. I've seen a few other sandals with this style that would be much better to wear. This is more the style: open-toes, open-sides, a mary jane-type strap, and than a fully-covered back heel. You can find similar-style shoes that would be better than this.
After spirited debate, those are my views. Yay to the mary manes, yay to the shoes/boots thingie in the second picture, and Nay to the sandals (at least I classify them as sandals) in the third picture. Of course, do not let my posts tell you otherwise. Just go get what makes you happy.
