Time for me to Yay or Nay more shoes!
Those Chanel ankle boots (Post #9,754) are a Nay!, but not seriously ugly. They're manageable at best. Not real keen on the two-tone look. If you're going to do two-tone, it's best to have two colors that go together, even a strange combination. This chocolate brown with this primer gray isn't a very good combination. The tips of the shoes plus the heel and sole detail are almost suggestive of classic Converse sneakers. But overall, they're a Nay. You can still give them a chance if you can get any nice outfits working. These would be boots to take a chance with in putting looks together.
From sleek ankle boots to the open-air comfort of sandals (Post 9,761). There's nothing special about these sandals. Nothing that provides a real sizzle or any kind of "I want that!" out of them. You see, there are two different kinds of plain. Plain as in, uninteresting; and plain as in, simple and lovely. This is more along the lines of simple and lovely. I can't say Nay because I don't hate the style of the sandals to where I wouldn't recommend it. If you're looking for a simple pair of black sandals, nothing like a good wedge. Here's one of the ones I'm torn on for two reasons:
* if you're looking for a simple, yet stylish pair of sandals, these are a Yay.
* if you're looking for something interesting and lovely, these are a Nay.
This thread isn't "Yay, Nay, or Draw." But this is more of a draw to me. Depends on what you're looking for.
