Shoes: yay or nay? #1

Not exactly a yay or nay, but should I go for patent or leather? I love black strappy high heels, but am concerned that the patent might be too vampy and the leather a little dull?

Well, I'll be much less hateful in regards to the oxfords in Post #10,177. But if there are shoes I seriously dislike, you'll know it from me. That's just me. I'm opionated and expressive.

Though I've never hated houndstooth, I'm not real big on these oxfords. However, I'm going to say Yay! to those. Those are some good oxfords to jazz up an outfit. So go for it, |BellaDonna|!

Everyone's entitled to an opinion ... but sometimes a mild, simply expressed opinion can be a beautiful thing ;)

^ LibertyRose, I definitely like the patent better in the pix, but if it were me, I'd want to see how each looked with my skin. I can imagine the leather looking better on at least some people ...

Libertyrose, Nice shoes! I'd go for the patent one. I prefer that style in patent ;)

I yay'ed the last shoe. Will I yay the strappy sandals in Post #10,184?

YES! Yay! to the sandals in Post #10,184. And have no worries. While it's dull to some, at least I know that not everyone wants the most super-chic or super-classy shoes. If this is what makes you happy, then surely you have my word. I would prefer the patent leather just for something that exudes style and is consistent. Those in leather are a bit bland for me. The zipper at the heels adds a romantic touch that doesn't take away from the loveliness of those sandals.

By all means, I'd get the patent leather ones. But if you dislike patent leather, go for the non-patent leather sandals. That's all for this post. Dress with confidence and show some style!

What do you guys think of these? They are similar to the Stella wedges. But since I'm a student with no jobs even these at $170 are a major splurge. They look better in real life. I can't stop thinking about them

Liberty, def. patent. They remind me a little bit of Manolos Blahnik's Ringo sandals.

Time to put me to work again...

My yay-streak is over as I'm Nay!-ing the wedges in Post #10,189 for one big reason- the wood details. The shape of the shoe is fine, but the wood designs on these are a huge turnoff for me. I've seen better wood sole designs and details than this. Best to save the $170 Australian dollars (I'm assuming) for something else. Like, a better pair of wedge pumps? The wood design was a huge turnoff for me. Maybe I could dislike the heel design a bit, but I was turned off greatly on the wood design of the wedge heel.

Sorry... nay.

risska - maybe these shoes are not my style but Yay for them and if in real life they look even better than in the pic ;) definitely Yay :)

#10189 yay to the stella type wedges. I really like them. $170 is still pretty extravagant for a student budget, being one myself :P

Totally a yay for the wedges! What are you waiting for?!!! Get'em get'em get'em!

risska, if you can't stop thinking about them, it's a sign. I have the stella wedges in the ankle boot style so big yay! ;)

LibertyRose - patent! But I'll nearly always say patent over matte...

Risska - yay to the wedges! I love them!
