Shoes: yay or nay? #1

I know these are special and most of you probably hate them for being an open-toe wedge boot hybrid (am I right, John ?) but I already liked the Chloé Sevigny for Opening Ceremony ones but knew I wouldn't be able to afford them so I thought these are a good knock off for a good price. Still wanted to ask for opinions.

Not only the open-toe boot gets to me, but all those buckles... it's like the marriage of boots and gladiator sandals with some rocker chic mixed in. I gave the last shoes a total nay. As for these... Absolute Nay! Even if I'm not fond of open-toe boots, fact is... these are ugly to my eyes. I wear glasses every day (because I'm not willing to have Lasik surgery), and these are terrible looking. This is a combination of open-toe boot and gladiator sandal. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I severely dislike these, but if you want to get them, fine. It's just my opinion. But I'm sick of these damned shoes. Yay these all you want like I'm not qualified to be on tFS, I couldn't care less.

What's your skintone? I like both Blush and Bone. I don't really like those particular shoes in black as much. White looks good and more delicate but dirt would show very easily . . . so maybe Blush.

Also, I believe there's a thread for this.

oporcupineee, if you're fair-skinned, I'd say go with Blush.

As for the above boots, my immediate reaction is nay. But I'd have to see them styled. I imagine they could work on the right person.

Got a nay streak going... will it continue? Well, for the flats in Post #10,989, I say Nay (somewhat)! The turnoff are all those metal studs on the flats. Sure, these details make them different in design, but I don't like them too much to recommend them. The Blush color would be best if you're considering these flats.

So I don't give another absolute nay, but I still nay those flats to an extent.

oporcupineee i think the Blush are great! not fond of the contrast with the black pair...the bone pair are ok, would depend how you match them with clothes. so a yay to the Blush.
