Shopping for Family of Brands-Carpe Diem, Linea, etc...

It’s from Rio fashion week or rather Rio Moda Hype, which features emerging younger designers.

It’s not the same company!

I don't think today's post belong in this thread

my thoughts exactly!!!

"young, hip, upcoming designers" my @ss! Those clothes just plain suck. I can't believe it took 3 designers to make a sucky collection.

Just thought you guys like to know I got new issue of planet magazine that has an article about Carpe Diem that I pitched. Great little snippet about (though it sounds a bit similar to the soma article) and an awesome photo featuring two outfits styled by Karlo of Atelier. Sadly I can't scan it or anything just because it hasn't hit the stands yet. It should be available in a few weeks at borders, barnes...etc

And faust, those were the boots i was talking about from the shoot. So amazing.

"dirty white" for this season looks cool.
that's all.

hi, i am currently in the market for the fall c-diem waxed baby calf army boots. however, i have a couple of questions...

how are they made? what is the wax like? r they comfortable? does the toe really come down after wear? if anybody has some info on these shoes i would really appreciate it. i am posting my concerns on tfs because if the people here dont really know anything about them who will. maybe A or maxfields but i dont want to call out of state. my phone bill is enough as it is.

thanx.

i have a c-diem 2005 s/s dark brown jacket from carpe diem for sale. if anyone is interested please let me know. thanx.

This may seem like a silly question but I was just wondering, what does burying or mummifying the leather do to it? Does it make it better?

I've yet to see the stuff up close, but I'm guessing it's not so much better in a technical sense, than it is unique, exclusive, interesting and cool... Same with the CCP transparent stuff.

I don't know but I can tell that I've yet to see better leather than the one Carpe Diem leather shirts are made of. It is my holy grail -- one day I will buy one. :D

...okay this may seem like another silly question but what do you look out for in leather to tell if it's good or not?

For me it must be soft, light and sturdy at the same time.
