Shopping for Family of Brands-Carpe Diem, Linea, etc...

carnivore!!!!!!

I remember seeing a kangaroo jacket at market once and saying it was strange.....the sales rep replied that kangaroos are mean and cause ruckuss.......I still didn't buy it

so nice......
love the pants!!!...

thx runner...

i like it a lot, less earthy than i expected, i think carpe diem is less earthy than linea. The cut on the first pants is very nice. the way it turns just slightly at the bottom. The fabrics drapes nicely too. I like the silver t shirt a lot, but i was a little bothered by the watch, somehow i just felt it didnt go with the image of c diem. there was just something disturbing about it:ninja: .

The first shoes are astonishing, no eyelest and tada! looks great , feels new.
i like everything.^_^

yea...erm...that beanie is as good as mine!

along with the first black coat, gorgeous...and the white leather shirt...so mine! lol.

Man, that watch IS out of place, isn't it?

Only three items under $1000. I love all this, though. I used to have a pair of Helmut Lang pants just like that first pair of pants.

Chris, Rick Owens did some kangaroo leather jackets recently, I think.

It's nice, but still it's a bit Calvin Klein with raggedy edges!! I love the shoes and my fav is that brown leather jacket - but what price is that - can someone confirm my worst fears?

Heh... well, going by current exchange rates For Yen/USD:

The Brown Leather Jacket - $3,700

Brown Pants - $1,300

Shoes/Boots - $1,300 to $2,200

Gloves - $460

Hat - $360

Waaaaay overpriced. I mean, $300+ for a basic cap? Stupid, IMO.

Aiyaa. I was hoping that the gloves would be less than that!

There are some carpe diem boots on ebay currently... along with some pants.

Thought you guys might enjoy some pics from a photoshoot we (Planet Magazine) did yesterday for Carpe Diem. I pitched the brand to the magazine after becoming a fan through good old the fashion spot and they decided to do a page on it. With the help of Karlo and Jo Jo from Atelier, we were able to shoot some amazing fall pieces. So everyone do check out the article in the fall fashion issue of Planet Magazine, which should be out by fashion week.

Karlo talking to the Makeup artist who I thought had a cute little outfit

that's all, I would have taken more pics of the clothes but I didn't want to be rude (this was a photoshoot for the clothes for the magazine afterall) but I have to say the leather shirt was really nice and they had an amazing glazed horseleather jacket that I couldn't pull of, but the craftsmanship was really nice.

she has some rather nice boots...oh, and some nice other stuff too...

^ I would just like to mention the japanese prices are much higher than the prices Karlo and Jo Jo were telling me. So I would suggest anyone considering any of the fall pieces to check out Atelier.

/\ Japanese prices are usually about 30% higher than anywhere else for anything imported.

Thanks for the pics, mouko!

LOL kit. you know it doesn't actually cost much more than a homme plus coat I bought recently, although that's not because that coat was particularly cheap. Anyway I probably won't go there in the end, although taht may be becuase I don't like it enough to justify the spend.
