Shopping on eBay

I recently bought some MARC by Marc Jacobs pants from ebay, they turned out to be fake which I wouldn't care about for MARC by Marc, but they are 37.8 inches long, where they are meant to be 44 inches long. That makes them unwearable, so I'd like to get my money back, seeing as they are not as described, being fake, wrong sizing etc, I filed a dispute with paypal, but the seller wants me to mail them back to NZ before giving me a refund, that's a lot of money to front to a scammer. I paid with credit card, so I assume I could do a chargeback, does anyone know how that works or have any ideas? :ninja:

hi there, ive never bought on ebay before and am abit tentative so i thought i'd ask some questions here,

i have been looking at some tan leather bags on ebay but am not sure about authenticity
the brand is RABEANCO and its called a genuine leather bowling bag in tan.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of this brand?
if so, what is the quality like?

From what I'm aware of, refunds are granted only when the merchandise is returned. I'd check out the seller's feedback... that's usually a fair indicator of how they have handed past transactions. As a seller, I know that I would never refund money without getting the product back first.

Also, be sure that you demand your shipping refund... if an item was as not described, you have nothing to lose in requesting that.

I got bored last weekend and bought this Viktor & Rolf white jacket (item 150050140271). I received the item today. The seller's feedback was pretty good when I bought the item, but since last weekend and today there have been a few feedbacks about the seller selling fakes. I noticed the label says made in china. Does anyone think this could be a fake? Are Viktor & Rolf items only made in Italy?

For what it's worth, the item is actually very cute in real life, and I will probably keep it, but I don't want to purchase from this seller again if it's a fake. Any insight is very much appreciated.

Has anybody bought nail polish through Ebay? I want to get Opi's Lincoln Park After Dark and I've been having a really hard time finding it, and I saw it available on Ebay. The seller's feedback is pretty good, but for some reason I still feel a little uneasy. Has anybody done this? I'd like to hear your stories

^ I have bought beauty products off Ebay (and sold them). (What have I NOT purchased off Ebay?)

I've never had a problem. Now, your only concern would be how old the polish is... you may want to ask the seller if they have any expiration information... sellers are usually more than happy to assist potential buyers. But even if its past expiration (nail polish is good for about a year - I believe that's after opening), it will still be fine.

I had some Opi nail polish in Chocolate Kisses saved on my Watch List, but never bid. I should go back and look again. I'm dying for some dark brown polish.

My recommendation? Go for it. I am 99.9% positive it will be a smooth transaction.

You really have to be careful that you aren't buying fakes off ebay because people can just post a picture of the real thing and send you a fake. I don't buy from them unless they are a trusted seller.

Has anyone here bought from rosemary_vente before? Does she sell authentic items? I bought some Lanvin flats from her and the auction page said she is located in the U.S. but my dad said the parcel came from Hong Kong or Korea or something and I haven't been home yet to check it out...I'm so confused. I'm hoping she just ordered them from a Lanvin retailer there and had them shipped to me or something.

Ok, this might be a strange question and posted in a strange place nut I didn't know who else to ask! Due to personal reasons I have to shut my ebay account down but I've no idea how to do that!
I've searched their site for info but I can't find anything which is'nt so strange because the prpbably don't want to lose customers...
If anyone could help me it would be much appreciated and if I brak any rules by this post: feel free to delete.

Thanks in advance

:flower: You might want to start a thread in the "More Accessories" forum; you'll probably have more luck there. :flower:

God sometimes I really hate ebay!

I won this black saddle bag cos I thought it looked cool and it was described as 'vintage'

I recieved it this morning and looked inside and it has a very new label for dept store Debenhams! It is not vintage at all.......it has taken the spark off of it and now I don't want it anymore.....

Hope the seller will let me return it.....I am so upset

It is cute but because I know it is a recent piece and not vintage I just don't feel the same way about it...

I understand completly how you feel when you want something that you thought you were getting and get the total opposite its not right. Are you going to return it?
