Shopping on eBay

one word...addicted

no kidding. i've gotten tons of great deals on ebay. but like many have said before me. i'd be extra extra careful when purchasing designer goods on ebay. there are a good amount of good sellers. but beware of the dogs.

hey. can everyone please list their trusted sellers for designer goods? i for one would really appreciate that!

I posted a thread earlier today about some sass & bide jeans I found on ebay, but I am new to this site and I didnt come across this thread until right now. Anyways, these are the jeans I want: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5453973929&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 . The person has very good feedback, but I still am very skeptical because of some of the stories I have heard, plus they are from Australia and I live in the US (shipping problems). Any thoughts about going for it or not?

does anyone know someone called monaco-babe? I'm interested in two Tom ford peices but she's selling them rather cheap..so i wanted to know if someone ever dealt with her!

From what I can tell the jeans are authentic and looking at her feedback, she has sold a few of these jeans before and the buyers were pretty happy about them...Lately there have been an influx of sass & bide items on eBay because they recently had a clearance sale in Sydney.
My sister and I have bought quite a few items from the US before and they've all arrived safe and sound. If you're worried my advice would be to email the seller and ask heaps of questions. Most sellers are willing to answer any queries you may have. Also, if you're worried about shipping you may have to pay a little bit extra for postal insurance or something. that way if something happens, you're reimbursed.....
I say go for it...they're a hot pair of jeans (at a fraction of the retail price)!! Hope this helps!:flower:

I would be very wary of her, I ehard shes a scammer and she rips people off by not sending the goods after a buyer has paid. Shes even known to send empty boxes with nothing inside. There was a website about ehr too..and plus, since she keeps her feedback private its not a good sign thats shes trustworthy.

Amen. This is NEVER a good sign. Whenever I see a seller with private feedback, I skip their auctions automatically.

What about buying make up and skin care on ebay? HAs anybody anything to share? I am thinking of getting Bobbi Brown shimmer and maybe MAC brushes etc...
Any fav sellers?

Thanks

look for a seller with tons of feedback, there are many with feedback in the thousands and mostly positive. also make sure they mention in the auction, brand new, never used, or sealed, also ask if there is an expiration date and what it is..

there are some really good, fast and trustworthy sellers of these items out there... good luck..

usually, I only will buy from sellers with private auctions. If you are buying high ticket items especially, there are tons of people who will spam you as they get your id from bidding and buying, you can check what the seller has been selling by checking out their completed auctions. you will find if you search for high ticket authentic items, the legit sellers have mostly private feedback, this protects both the seller and the buyer from cyber predators...

im going to have to agree with saphireskies, that most of the time, people with private auctions are fishy and a lot of the time they are selling fake good and they keep their feedback private too. i have never had any trouble with bidding on non-private designer listings and spamming and i have been using ebay for over five years, both bidding and selling:flower:

wow, you have been quite lucky  well in any case, I wouldn't dismiss a seller with 2000 private feedback with 100% positive because it's private.. some of my favorite sellers are just that, plus I don't want the world to know i just spent 3k and what I spent it on..... the best thing anyone can do is be knowledgable about you are buying and ask tons of questions..

happy safe shopping everyone

Be very careful with Monaco-Babe. I know from a very reliable source that she is under investigation in eu.

I totally agree the eBay seller monaco-babe is very suspicious. I believe monaco-babe has several eBay ids so to use them for shill bidding in order to raise the price, or feedback shilling to cover her negative feedbacks. There is one bidder who left her many positive feedbacks and makes herself feedback private. This bidder has over 12 retracting bids in the last 6 months. You cannot trace this bidder's bidding history since she is located Europe. Don't you think it is very suspicious?!

www.monaco-babevictims.com website and fraud

I see Ms. Monaco-Babe has recenty registered on the Fashion Spot. What do you say in your defense Ms Monaco-Babe?? And shame on you!

Dior Bag--Falchi Sport

I bought a fake Dior bag on eBay and returned it immediately with a polite note and got a full refund. I have a few real ones so the difference was really obvious. But I just got a Carlos Falchi Sport bag in the mail today from eBay and it's really trashy. Is it genuine? Are they making cheap plastic bags? I have two real leather ones. One is a vintage big black buffalo skin bag like they are selling again at Bergdorf's. Sometimes they're called Butterfly bags with their gathered fronts. The other is the same style but much smaller in medium blue with a stencilled black leaf pattern. The latter is lined in white kid, so I know it's genuine.

Hiya, thanks for answering. I love that seller's things. I'm counting up my panny jar to see if I can afford his Marni dress.

Thanks for the advice on the fakes. I thought some prices were too good to be true. I was going to buy a Dior bag for my friend for her birthday, could you imagine the shame if it was outed as a fake!

I've had a good hunt and come up with this little metal jacket. I quite like it but I don't think it will fit :o( could buy it and just hang on the wall ... Does anyone know anything about the label?

Thanks for your help!

I have very little feedback and I sell only authentic items. I'm not a bulk seller... in fact, I think it's the bulk sellers that often have the fake bags. When I wear out a designer handbag, I sell it on eBay.
