Shopping on eBay

i love ebay

i buy things on ebay if the thing i want is discontinued or if it's not available in US. Most especially skinny jeans. Hehehe they are really hard to find here in US and it's so rare. But anyways, i got some cool stuffs at ebay...and it's really cheap.:D

Don't get me started on ebay....I love it!

I both buy and sell on there, and to be honest, most of the clothes I've bought in the last few months have come from there, purely because I work long hours and find it hard to get to the shops round here....plus ebay has the slightly different things that I prefer to wear.

My latest bargain was a gorgeous stilleto heeled pair of calf length plum boots....brand new, for the princely sum of £10 :D

Piece of advice: Pick a maximum amount which you're willing to pay for something and don't go over it!:D

hie there,
I hear that the rock and republic jeans have been sold out everywhere; how do i spot a fake one?

just won a kl black cord skirt by elle. i recommend that when using ebay you pay as soon after the bidding has closed for ultra positive feedback and contact them in 4 days if the product still hasnt arrived

I spend ours on ebay, I just love it! Ebay really have what your looking for.. And its so damn cheap to!

Im actually gonna be the one selling the clothes for him. I just sold a bag on ebay. After the item was shipped the buyer sent an email saying not to ship item, she made a mistake and bid on the wrong bag. We had good communication before the auction ended. I sent her lots of extra photos. I have in the auction that sale is final. She's offered to send it back and pay for shipping, ebay/paypal fees.

I don't want the bag back as it will be a hassel. But I don't want a negative either. If I take it back is it fair to keep $30 for the shipping and other fees? Or just refuse to take the bag back since it was a final sale.

^ sounds like she has just changed her mind at the last minute and is trying to get out of it  I think its more then fair for you to keep enough to cover postage AND relisting fees, seeings she's wasted yours and other Ebayers time. I sell on Ebay all the time, and unfortunately there are alot of time wasters, but she should realise that bidding is a contract, she cant just change her mind and not pay the consequences.
 hope I dont sound too harsh!

I think you are absolutely right. :flower:

Now she's tried calling me several times. I haven't had a chance to return the calls but I would rather deal with it through emails. Now I'm kind of pissed about it and don't want to refund the $.

if you don't want to take it back and she gives you a negative feedback you can just comment back on it that she had buyers regret. when i see that on someones feedback i don't see it as a negative on your part. either that or make her send it back but you return less.

I just had a really close call on Ebay...

I've been searching for Hermes scarves for a few weeks, not searching for a particular pattern, just browsing for a good deal. I found this seller with several scarves from recent seasons at good prices, with very short auctions. I was a little wary because the seller was from Singapore, but he had good feedback so I bid on a scarf. I actually went to work earlier than usual to log into Ebay and catch the auction closing. The scarf had doubled the amount of my maximum bid, so I didn't bid anymore.

Anyway, some days later I get this «second chance offer» through Ebay, for the same (?) scarf, at my maximum bid. Since the «original» scarf sold for 168 USD, I found it strange that the seller was now offering me a similar scarf for 70 USD, and did not accept the offer.

Two days after that, I received a warning email from Ebay saying that seller's account was suspended.

This episode aside, I really like Ebay though. You can find everything... But always be careful. There are some dodgy types out there, but most people are just trying to get an honest deal.

I know one reliable Hermes seller. I have dealt with him in person. If you want, I can PM you his name.

I personaly don't trust Ebay. I used to purchase a few magazine covers a few months back, but that was it. I don't trust purchasing clothing or accessories on Ebay since most sellers are liars.

do you have a no refund/return note in the auction. if not you should on later auctions. if you do then tell her she can put the bag up on ebay herself and try and get the money back.

Hi,

I don't know if this is the right form to post my messege in but I am trying to sell a pair of men's GUCCI embroidered floral jeans from autumn/winter 1999 from Tom Ford's collection.... I know the jeans were soldout everywhere and are a coveted item. They originaly retailed at over $1300. But I don't know how much to price the strating bid. How much would you guys be willing to pay for an item of such nature if you had the $ to spend. (Doesn't have to be Gucci) but in general for a top item??
