Arturo Zacarias
Hi, it's Arturo Zacarias again, from the New Technologies team. In November I let you know about the latest expansion of eBay's RSS (
btnRSS.gif
) offerings.
Members can already use RSS to keep an eye on the Announcement Board, the eBay Discussion Boards, or listings from specific eBay Stores. This week we're adding RSS support to our eBay Search pages. With this enhancement you can create a custom RSS feed that will deliver the results of your eBay Search to you via any RSS reader. Since we are integrating the RSS support with our Advanced Search pages, you'll have complete control over how you narrow down your search.
To subscribe to a RSS feed, you'll need an RSS reader or aggregator to gather and view the updates. Several free and commercial RSS readers are available, and some examples can be seen here (provided by dmoz.org). Once you have an RSS reader, simply go to the bottom of any RSS-enabled page you are interested in, click on the RSS button, copy the URL from the page that opens, and paste it into your reader to display the content in RSS.
We're working to add RSS to other areas as well in the coming months, so stay tuned.
Sincerely,
Arturo Zacarias

FROM EBAY: GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

just bought the Cargo Bronzer Mini in Medium, which is sold out everywhere in the USA from an individual seller on ebay. I am very pleased. She has a 99.9% rating.

i just bought a pair of notify nymphea's from fashionbutterfly. i hope tha tpowerseller stuff means something..

Ebay novice here, I've never bought anything. I tried these Tsubi jeans on in the store and I found them on ebay for a lot cheaper. But I'm not sure how much cheaper it will be after shipping, duties and problably insurance. I live in Canada and the seller is from Australia. How can I find out how much shipping will cost? What are some of your international experiences?

I just got a tip from Organic, a TFSer and she said that Ebay does cheap mag subscriptions, I think I'll try and it let you all know how it goes

Ask the seller to give you a quote for shipping. :flower:

I don't know about shipping from Australia to Canada, but shipping usually takes about 2 weeks from the US to Asia, where I live. Customs might be a problem- once they took a month to clear my shipment :ermm:

I'm getting a bit annoyed with an ebay seller. I bought something from her, and right after the auction ended she sent me five invoices asking me to pay. I was watching a few other of her auctions, so I asked her if it was okay if I paid the next day (the item description said you had to pay within 3 days, I got 5 emails asking for payment within 15 minutes after the auction ended ) When I got home the day after, I paid her (like I said I would) and the second I'd paid I received another email asking for payment. I ignored it, since I figured she hadn't received the PayPal receipt before she sent the email. Well today I got yet another email asking me to pay, and seeing that I paid yesterday like we agreed, it's getting a bit annoying. It's not a lot of money either, just $18, so I don't see what the nagging is about (especially not since I already paid her, gaaah!)

Sorry, just needed to vent :P

ebay is the best for cheap subscriptions! all of mine are from there, you can also get packages of subscriptions from like allure, jane, elle, etc. for super cheap.

Please note that direct links to Ebay auctions (your own/others) are not allowed.
Thanks.

Ebay Q.

I don't post much and was not sure where to put this, so please delete after my question is answered

My question is: How is it possible that some Chloe,Marc Jacobs, etc clothes are sold on ebay for such a low price when they are fairly new seasons? Are the clothes fake or am I missing something..... because who would pay thousands when you could get something the same on ebay for a fraction of the price?

^^yes, there's tons of fake clothes on ebay, especially Marc Jacobs and Chloe.

Alka Vora skirts are sooo good and so cheap on ebay 100% authentic! look for pictures of the tags. celebs wear these all the time! promise! they are cute! 100% silk. they sell at kitson for 300 dollars but if you buy on ebay from someone who bought from kitson selling for cheap you can get it for 130 all together! good deals LOVE EBAY

since Chloe and Mj are really popular now, Im sure a lot of really cheap stuff is fake with the labels sewn in.

Most of the Chloe/Marc Jacobs/BCBG/DVF stuff on eBay is fake. A good tip is to go to ioffer.com and type in 'chloe dress' or 'marc dress' and you'll see the kind of fake stuff that is sold wholesale. If a seller has a Chloe runway piece in every size, then it's fake. Often they use pictures from Neiman Marcus (I think the fakes manufacturers trawl those kind of sites for inspiration as to what to knock off). Plus, often the runway show and the designer don't match up - I've seen dresses copied off the moschino and versace runways, with the runway picture, advertised as 'chloe' dresss.

AND it's often quite obvious that the fabric and cut aren't up to par, imho :flower: .
