Spanx anyone?

If these bore any resemblance to the luxurious shapewear of yore ('yore' being the 1940s), I'd have no complaints, except they don't: they're more inspired by the awful concept of the invisi-bra than anything else, a neutral shade of seamless lingerie meant to become a sobering second-skin. I suggest everyone wear Rago. Of course, undetectable undergarments have their advantages to some, but I firmly believe that anything pretty and lacey enough shouldn't mind being noticed...

I have a pair I got from Target and its all a little borderline great and bad.

The pair I bought stop at the midsection and went to the middle of the thighs. They were too unecessarily long, I should have bought the panties version. I had to cut the legs off cause it would pinch them. Then sometimes when I sit, the top rolls down. BUT, considering those downs...theyre pretty cool. I have a bit of a tummy and since I wear a lot of dresses, and go out quite a bit, it comes in handy. As long as I take my time going to the rest room its okay. If I try to take it off in a rush, it pulls everything down with it, or if I have tights or pants on, it all rolls into a ball and gets caught. Or going to sleep at night when I want to get the darn thing off after a long night out.

My reccomendation is to not wear it too too long because after a while, and this may just be me, it starts giving me lower back pain maybe from sitting or standing too long. Dont wear it with pants, or at least your normal pants. Cause they thin you, the pants slide right off you!

spanx bod-a-bing pants - any good?

i know about the spanx bodyshapers but my question is about the full length pants. have you tried and are they any good? i am looking for loose, wide leg pants that are not cords, jeans, wool or too dressy. does that shaper thing inside the spanx pants get in the way? any opinions to share?

Here's an idea on the pants she's talking about...

The fabric ingredients don't sound very healthy. I think a few pilates classes would be a better investment.

Bump!

I am looking for something to shape when wearing my wedding gown... I read about Spanx's "Marry Me" item, but I'm seeing their Shapers on the website. The "Slim Cognito" looks like, if it works as it says it does, it would do the trick. Does anybody have their shapers?

Hipkitten noted that she wore one of Spanx's items at her wedding..

The Target brand is Assets, and I'm not ruling out that brand..
