This is so bizarre. That shot on the left is ridiculous! And the creative direction this season is pretty appalling too. That logo design and those things next to it are so pointless. I miss Stella's older advertisement campaigns. They were simple and chic. This is pretentious and over-thought. Disappointing.
What the hell is that expression in the first pic Really! 'I'll give you this bag, if you let me stay out late'......being that Natalia looks about 14 years old here.
Also the logo placement, looks like a kid left their toy shapes after doodling and then someone took the pictures with them left there. Very odd, and to top it all off the 2nd pic is actually pretty good.
Not sure about this campaign. Logo placement is horrendous and those "things" that look like guitar picks, pointless. Natalia looks nice but I'd have preferred to see the second shot in an outside setting.
I love Natalia for Stella McCartney even when the elements of art direction and styling clash, as it does here. She always brings things together in an interesting way, for me at least, and I think she is the face to pull off all the experiments the brand attempts. The picture on the left is far from my favorite, but combined with the one on the right I can still be convinced that they've still go "it" to pull something like this off successfully.
I like at well! loving the Neoplasticism influence. I actually like more the compostion in this campaign than the past ones... I was tired of the over-the-top crazyness and excess of visual information.
Duck-face apart, there's something appealing here. Natalia isn't my cup of tea but she works wonders for Stella season after season and this is no exception.
The art direction is interesting to say at least but the whole ad does it's job well seeing as I want the outfit and I'm a guy.
