Evan Rachel Wood
She may look young and ethereal, but Evan Rachel Wood is grounded in Hollywood’s firmament — a star on the rise.

Evan Rachel Wood in an Alexander McQueen tulle dress. To order at Alexander mcQueen, 417 West 14th Street. To get this look: brush Estée Lauder’s pure color eye shadow in pumpkin under and above the eye from lid to brow, followed by tender blush in peach nuance on the cheeks. Dab the lips with Lauder’s pure color in rubellite.

Supersaturated shades take on a painterly feel when applied with fingers or a big, fluffy brush. For this look, use a pale base like Anna Sui liquid foundation; on the eyes, Sui’s purple eye color No. 303; on the cheeks, orangy color No. 600; and finish with a dab of gloss lipstick No. 203, which is a purple. Conroy & Wilcox earrings. Fred Leighton Collar necklace.

Liya Kebede
‘‘I wanted to embrace every type of texture,’’ Luigi Murenu says of the inspiration for this shoot. To attain amped-up tresses like Liya’s, try bumble and bumble’s does it all styling spray. Yves Saint Laurent Breastplate neckpiece. Makeup by Virginia Young at Streeters. Fashion editor: George Cortina.

Shalom
‘‘Shalom has frizzy hair,’’ Luigi says, more approvingly than you might expect. Prep with products like ouidad’s clear and gentle shampoo and balancing rinse conditioner. Once hair dries, emphasize the texture with a small-barrel curling iron. Roberto Cavalli jacket.

Jessica Stam
Luigi back-combed the middle section of Jessica’s hair and then smoothed over it. He applied a product like Kérastase vinyl nutri-sculpt to the ends (he is the creative artistic consultant for Kérastase). Hermès blouse. Manicure by Deborah Lippmann for lippmanncollection.com at the wall group.

Correction: Oct. 22, 2006
An article today in T: Beauty magazine, about the hairstylist Luigi Murenu, omits his business relationship with Kérastase, a hair-products company that is credited in a caption. He is its creative artistic consultant.

Anja Rubik
‘‘This is what every woman wants her hair to look like when she comes out of the wind,’’ Luigi says of Anja. After adding extensions, he used mousse and a medium-barrel curling iron to create a few choice waves, finishing with a serum. Paul Mitchell gloss drops does the trick. Givenchy coat.

Natasa V.
‘‘This hair has a certain vulnerability, but also strength,’’ Luigi says of Natasa’s studio-54-looking do. It was all in the wrist and the curling iron. Recommended: Infinity instant heat by Conair. Gucci dress.

Hye Park
Luigi wanted to make Hye’s hair a ‘‘carpet of shine.’’ To get the look, prep with a product like La Prairie Cellular intensive hair repair mask. Luigi also added extensions, but you can just use an antifrizz serum before blow-drying and finish with an iron for a similar effect. Fashion assistant: Annika Ziehen. Prop stylist: Andrea Stanley.

Anja Rubik! What a great photo. I really like NYT Style Magazine because the eds are usually great and there's sometimes new Paolo Roversi work. Thanks for the post!

Hye looks a bit like Samara from the Ring

but slightly less terrifying  :ninja: :P
