I agree that something didn’t seem right about the interview, and it surprised me. She’s clearly a sweet person, but she didn’t answer many of the questions directly. I suspect that entering the fashion industry so young was not an overall positive experience, quite traumatic instead with a lot of weight on her shoulders at too young to make it. And while the artistic side of things grew on her, the job was still a job…as many are, but it was surprising to hear that she would not name a favorite designer when asked, a favorite job, or express any enjoyment about being a model in the past, when her demeanor backstage and in photos and backstage interviews expressed the opposite. This may have to do with negative feelings and realizations that settled in after she got out, but who knows. She only seemed at ease and happy toward the end of the interview, but she definitely dodged definitive answers then too, unless pressured. The reference to her grades seemed weird to me too, and I didn’t see how that correlated. I actually want to see her interviewed again because I’m curious what more she has to say. Maybe this was just the first half of her story.^ I finished it in 4 days lol.. I usually get ready in the morning and leave whatever youtube recommends playing and I started on Tuesday and finished it today.
'How did you feel about your return?'
'well.... okay... I mean, well.....what is a return?... right?'
💀
In her defense, Vlada seems better prepared to be an interviewer than the other one, who interrupts and will talk over interviewees to make sure her question gets answered and just generally seems to have less patience. With difficult people like Tanya, who ramble a lot and are just on some kind of trip.. you just gotta give them enough silence so they have the room to run around circles, get tired and come back to interview, and then you'll rephrase the question. 😅
My take on this is that, like marsnoop said, no language barrier at play.. she seems to have a personality problem.. wants to sound artistic, fancy, then.. not, then she's back at it again, then says things figuratively and when asked if she's serious (e.g. what she did with her first salary), she feels the need to lie a little or to provide a literal explanation when she could just be casual and said she meant it figuratively!. It's weird. I think she's had a rough time and I also think she was scouted way way too young and seems to have that childlike insecure vibe that you get from former child actors wanting so desperately to be seen with the same awe they once provoked through their extreme youth and success..
