Model Casting F/W 06.07

Ive been hearing a lot about this Bette Franke. Is she a new face? I think she is beause there is a HUGE spead in V magazine (mariah carey on the cover) with new face models. Her, Tanya D, Milagros Schmoll, and others are included in it. I loved the beauty shots that they did! :woot:

Bette Franke only did Europe last season, with a Jil Sander exclusive. This is her first full runway season.

OIC..yea because Ive seen her often in most of the shows I was wondering about her...she's signed with VIVA right? and btw is VIVA and DNA owned together?

Top 100 Final

Now, the final list factors in the quality of shows each model did. This list was made by taking the model's base score, their total points earned, and multiplying it by their average number of points per show (I consulted my med school room mate who said this was the best way to combine points^_^ .

Average points per show is total points divided by # of shows.
For example, take Tanya Dziahileva. She scored a total of 124 points, ranking #33 on the previous list. Doutzen Kroes who is #34, also earned 124 points. However, Tanya only did 22 shows, while Doutzen did 29 shows. That means that Doutzen's average points per show is 4.28, while Tanya averages 5.64 points per show.

For Tanya, I multiplied 5.64x124 to get 699.36
For Doutzen, it's 4.28x124=530.72

Therefore, on this final list, Tanya moves up to #25 because she's done higher quality shows, while Doutzen moves down one place to #35.

Wow,Impressive list! Thanks for your hard work :flower:
Daria's still number 1,huh?Quite a comeback.Congrats for Freja,she's unbelievable.

Thanks for the list. But without all the points etc., I think Freja should really be number one on the list. I just compare their 2 show lists.

I thought Freja would probably be #1 too. But the thing is, there are several girls who did over 60 shows, Freja included (Sasha, Vlada, Caroline Trentini come to mind. I think Vlada has the most shows). Daria did 38 shows, but still scored higher than all the other girls minus Freja who walked nearly twice as much. That's because she opened or closed approximately half of the shows she walked in, and she and Gemma did better shows than the other girls overall. Like the 2 lists show, if you're looking at quantity, Freja wins hands down. She was definitely the most omni-present girl at fashion week. But Daria beats Freja in the quality contest, and the ratio contest. Opening 11 shows if you only walked in 38 is more impressive than opening 12 shows if you walked in over 60.

Quality definitely matters more than quantity; Anna Maria Urajevskaya opened/closed Prada and walked in a handful of other shows; Mariya Markina opened/closed Jil Sander (also Paco Rabanne), and even though they didn't walk a lot of shows, I bet those two girls have the most industry buzz coming out of fashion season.

No, but they are affiliate agencies. Meaning whenever DNA signs a girl, they will most of the time place the model at VIVA in Paris. Since the agencies are in different cities, they handle the models work in their respective cities. In Milan most of the time DNA models are with Why Not.

I know. But Gemma is a well-established model; Freja still needs to climb quite a few rungs to get to her level, so she needs it more.

hi! i just disagree a bit with how you ranked them in the first list. If Doutzen and Tanya D had the same number of points in list #1, then shouldn't they be ranked the same? like both of them as #33? cos how did you decide who was 33 and 34?
