Tattoos

hahaha nahhh, ive just been thinking about getting one! i dont even have any!

Haha, Well I must say that right after I got my first and only tattoo, I wanted another immediately after. But I've fought the urge, obviously!

i was addicted to getting another one as soon as i got my first one! i find it it soothing.. but once its over you want more!! this one is AMAZING..

^Is that possible? Is the feeling of a tattoo some sort of rush?

I've always described piercings that way. Also for piercings there's more of a before and after, less of a during. But that depends on what you're getting done. There was one I thought would never end!

But it's the thrill of saying you're gonna get it done, working the courage to get your butt to the parlor and paying for it, so there's no turning back. There's definitely an adrenaline rush and the feeling of accomplishment afterwards. :D

Do you guys think its weird if you get a tattoo in a different language just because you like the language? Im thinking about getting something in spanish because I like the way it looks & sounds, but there is nothing spanish about me at all. I dont know if its akin to getting a chinese symbol tattoo if youre not chinese..

I, personally, don't think so, but that's cause I'm getting a tattoo in Danish :D Well, part of my tattoo will be in Danish. It's for two reasons, one is because of my love for Denmark (I'm not Danish though). I really want to do my Masters in Denmark and I'd love to visit there. The other reason is because the tattoo is connected to my favorite band, Volbeat, who is Danish.

The tattoo that I will be getting next month is one of their logos, it's a skull with Elvis hair:

I may get the wings at some point, but for now I just want the skull. Underneath the skull will be the words For Helvede (which basically means Goddammit). It's lyrics from their song 'Radio Girl' and the fans of Volbeat call themselves the For Helvede Support, so yeah.

I've been saving up to get the tat for about a month now. I'm not getting much money during the summer and I have to pay for my own food, so it hasn't been easy.

I also want to get my neck pierced. Do you guys think its safe to get it at the same time as the tattoo, since the tat will be right under the piercing, or should I get it at a different time?

ive always wanted two writing tattoos, one in spanish one in arabic, because im half spanish and half lebanese. but i want them to mean the same thing.

there is definitely a rush involved..i have 5 and I am already planning my sleeve.

 Sleeve! Beautiful..

Personally, I want a small shoulder sleeve like Maggie Gyllenhaal in "Stranger Than Fiction." ^_^

what do you all think of side/ribcage tattoos [like below pics]ive heard its one of the most painful places to get a tattoo but i quite like that its in a hidden place somewhere different.

Anticipation is the only painful part. It's just a pinch really The vibrations can be a bit nauseating but apart from that only tiny spots hurt, mostly its a little sting. Beautifully painful.

It is good because it's special having something that not everyone can see unless you want them to!

yes! ive always thought that was a great place. i didnt know hayden had one..!

regarding the tat of Hayden Panettiere ... it's in Italian. heard that it has a typo in it  that's bad luck

Ooo, bad jou jou  to get a type-o.

I never understood why people would get a tattoo on their rib cage but thinking of placing my own, it is 99.9% "hide-able."

Mine is there and it didn't hurt so bad. I was expecting much worse! (same spot as Hilary's except closer to the front) The only bad thing is, it's REALLY hard to make them even, if they're horizontal.. cause when you lie down it's different from when you stand and your boobs are affected by gravity

I like the spot though. My friend now wants one there after going with me to get it done ^_^

Is it a bad idea to get a tattoo on your forearms, do you think?

I actually have one on my forearm of a angel, I got it after my mother passed away. I don't regret having it because it's not huge. However for some catwalk shows I have to cover it, then there are those designers who actually like me to show it...........:innocent:

Here's that same white tattoo from #1803

edit: please do not quote images

Those white tattoos are really original.
One of the best white tattoos i have seen.

I think you have to be extremely careful as to what position your arm is in during the inking. You can rotate your forearm around and when you are standing in the neutral position, the tattoo may not be as "up and down" or parallel to your body as you would like, depending on the design you would like.
