Tattoos

I always like tattoos. I think the body is a great canvas for such artwork. I went during my spring break to get a tattoo mostly to see if I could go through with it as I have stupid fear of needles. I picked a tattoo offline which is my only time because I want all my other pieces to be designed by me or with help of the tattoo artist that way I would have a one of a kind pieces. I would defiantly shop around for an artist who I have artistic styles in common with because I would trust them to get it right.

On a side note since this forum is mixed genders I just thought I would say that I think women with tattoos are super cute and I hope I meet one who has some(but of course I cant be picky about little things like that)

i want another one too...
but im not sure yet where and what
maybe behind my ear or on my finger...i want a small cute one

I think you have to be extremely careful as to what position your arm is in during the inking. You can rotate your forearm around and when you are standing in the neutral position, the tattoo may not be as "up and down" or parallel to your body as you would like, depending on the design you would like.
Forearm tats are never going to be completely straight, it's just the way arms tend to curve. I have one on my wrist and it looks like one side kind of wraps around when I look at it from the forearm side but when I look at it on the wrist side it's dead centered. It's like a magic shifting spot lol

i'm thinking of getting one on my ankle that carries onto my foot but someone just told me when they went to get a tattoo the artist said that was the most painful place to get it ever.
does anyone have one there? how was it?

I don't have one there but it is one of the most painful spots. I've been in the parlor when people have gotten them there and there's always loud cries of pain lol. The other most painful spot is in the center of your chest/ribcage

I have one on my ankle toward the back of my foot...on the inside, behind the ankle bone. There's a picture further back in the thread. It hurt, and I don't have any others to compare it with, but it definitely wasn't the worst. The coloring in was the worst part.
I have a friend who has one in the same spot and also on her ribcage and she said the ribcage was the worst pain she's ever felt in her life.
Basically, I think it will be most painful on your foot when it gets near the bones/where there is less "meat." but that's kind of a given!

everytime i go into a tattoostudio I want to get a new one

If you tattoo "Shh" I might have to beat you.

why would i tattoo 'Shh'

no i want a small flower, one that looks like a child has drawn it
(or me cos i draw like a child anyway)

but i might change my mind if i have another idea

Well in the case of Spanish, it's not associated with one specific country, unless it's really specific slang. So the only real connection would have to be studying the language or being interested in the history of Hispanoamerica, or something along those lines. Or if you've studied or spent an excessive amount of time in a Spanish-speaking country, which is what I've done, yea I guess so.

I do think it's, well tacky's not the word, to get a tattoo in a language you have no real connection to. I think Italian is beautiful, but I don't speak Italian, so it wouldn't fit for me to have a tattoo in Italian. Maybe if I had a life-changing experience in Italy.

I wanted to get something to do with love or "my love" with a palm tree behind it because I have always loved them or "beautiful life" or something like that, but I think it looks better & sounds better in another language.

I change my mind all the time though, so hence, I dont have any yet. I would love something big on my ribs/back but my bf doesnt think it would do me any justice

^ Doesn't is totally suck when you get so many inspirations and you keep changing your mind about what to get? :judge: HATE IT.

I only thought of it a few days ago but I'm pretty set on getting it since it overwhelmed me with happiness! ^_^ I wanted to get the words "I'd rather live it" around my wrist so I ALWAYS see it and stay motivated to do what I want with my life. But, I want it in white ink. But if it is always exposed, it might fade. So, I'm considering a light brown.

YES. Haha. Its an addiction. I like to pop by tattooshops just to watch and hear the sound of the needle. Hmm. That sounded a bit crazy. :p
Its the feeling of knowing that you can't just take it off, its permanent. ^_^

Would You Tattoo a (Beauty) Brand on Your Body?
http://www.bellasugar.com/829370

I know I would never tattoo a brand, unless I started one myself or somethin'.

Does anyone know someone who's tattooed a brand or would you consider getting one?

^i remember seeing a boy's tattoo saying "Lanvin" on his arm.

i my self will never consider doing this kind of free advertisement.

no way ... if you love a brand so much you can use their products, but getting a tat

You're not alone, I love the smell of tattoo parlors lol. As for the brand tats, my friend's ex bf had a Chanel tattoo, I don't know I find them a little pointless

I just got a new tattoo! I go it in Buenos Aires now.. its my 9th, I guess.

yes! ive always thought that was a great place. i didnt know hayden had one..!

I have one in my ribs, actually in both sides!

Is it a bad idea to get a tattoo on your forearms, do you think?

If you are not all covered in tattoos, yes it is. Forearm and neck are two places that you're not supposed to get if you aren't a fully tattooed person.

I have always wanted to ask this question so I would love to hear some feedback. I have been very intrigued by the late 1800's/early 1900's of France(hint my SN). So I have thought of getting a cabaret dancer on my arm.If I were to do it in black and white and draw it myself. My question is mainly to women. Do you find this insulting or tacky?
