Tattoos

i think most people get paranoid when getting either piercings or tattoos, what helps me is to just go and talk to whoevers going to be doing it or any other tattoo artist/piercer and theyll put your mind at rest completely, sometimes it helps just to talk to a professional. although in the case of my last one i asked the girl whether it was going to hurt alot and she said "like hellll, why dont you get something a bit less hardcore, seriously its going to hurt alottt" but in the end it didnt hurt at all, so maybe she was saying that so it didnt hurt as much as i thought, or maybe she was just taking the mick cause i was pretty scared.

I like white tattoos, but I think it would fade really easily. I'm outside alot, and any white I've have in my other tattoos have just faded into my skin color.

i've always wanted to see a white tattoo. now i have i will probably end up getting one, they seem quite interesting and its more outside the box from the traditional black ink :)

i'd like to get a white ink tat one on my inner left upper arm. it's gonna be the following quote: "d'un male nasce spesso un bene". which basically means, that everything bad happens for a reason and often will turn into something good.
however i decided to wait a few months and make sure that i still wanna have it ;) and i'm also worried that it might turn out to look like a scar

Thanks for bringing that up elise :flower:

I'd like to know how long I ought to wait before deciding to get a tattoo. People say a year.

I just noticed that i have a few accidental tattoos on my legs  All from various times when i somehow stabbed myself with a pencil

That's really up to you. I'm very impulsive with mine, when I decide, I decide and that's it. I don't regret any of mine, I love them and after realizing what I wanted, I'd say I got mine within a week from those points. Everyone's different though, I think it's just when you feel that you really want/need it

Gainsbourg, thank you for your advice! :flower:

I need something to remind me of existence. I'm trying to figure out the meaning of life and I have some lines that I'd like around my wrist so that I always see it and comfort myself.

But it seems that impulsively getting a tattoo has a better chance of it being a regrettable decision. Make sense?

this is really the best place ever. be impulsive! :p
i dunno how about others.. but mine really helps me being motivated all the time.

i cant stop thinking about this fall, cause i wanna get some more tattoos. dont want to do it over summer or now.. cause i am gonna spend all the time on a beach and problems with proper healing arent funny at all.

in september i am gonna do 'breathe' on my foot.

also. i am thinking about brigitte bardot picture on my back. megan fox-inspired :

Whoever did Megan's tattoo did a great job. One too many times have I seen tattoos that look nothing like that face they're supposed to.

That's exactly why for the poet on my neck I got a caricature of him, I was too scared that a real portrait type picture wouldn't come out right lol

Do you guys think its weird if you get a tattoo in a different language just because you like the language? Im thinking about getting something in spanish because I like the way it looks & sounds, but there is nothing spanish about me at all. I dont know if its akin to getting a chinese symbol tattoo if youre not chinese..

^I think Chinese tattoos are overrated.

Spanish ones should be fine. ^_^ At least it's original.

lol I actually saw it on a picture and thats how I got the idea. I love tattoos but dont have any yet as Im too indecisive and change my mind every day (typical libran)

Well, first of all, to properly answer that, what do you plan on it saying?

i don't think it's weird if you have a "special connection" to the country. like if you're studying the language, or lived there or have an other relation with the country.
i wan't to get mine in italian, cause i love the country, the people & the language and i've been living there for about a year ;)

Well in the case of Spanish, it's not associated with one specific country, unless it's really specific slang. So the only real connection would have to be studying the language or being interested in the history of Hispanoamerica, or something along those lines. Or if you've studied or spent an excessive amount of time in a Spanish-speaking country, which is what I've done, yea I guess so.

I do think it's, well tacky's not the word, to get a tattoo in a language you have no real connection to. I think Italian is beautiful, but I don't speak Italian, so it wouldn't fit for me to have a tattoo in Italian. Maybe if I had a life-changing experience in Italy.
