Tattoos

wasn´t the last one posted b4 here?
I love white ink tattoos ^_^
does anyone got one which is older than 3 years?
edit: or in gerneral does anyone got a picture of tattoos that are "old" (like 5 years old)

Im turning 18 tomorrow and I think I want to get one sometime in the near future...ever since I was about 14, Ive wanted "Jai Guru Deva Om", a lyric from a Beatles song, written to form a peace sign if that makes any sense, and get it on my ankle or on the back of my neck.

ive just had my firts tattoo, i got a small circle on the arch of my inside foot. and i obsessively want more now i realise there is so little pain and how good it feels after...i want maybe lyrics across the rest of the arch of my foot maybe 'i'm tripping over rainbows' or some white ink somewhere.

Bella_Lass334 that sounds interesting i am intrigued ^_^ do you have a pic of what it would look like?

the 1st one in #1789 looks quite lovely.
i think white tattoo is slowly growing on me.

Same here but I really want to see a long-term white tattoo to see how good up-keep keeps the tattoo looking good.

i want 2 fairly small swallows flying up my inner wrist, not sure whether i want it in white in or colour though, other thing is i know exactly what i want in my head but i cant find any photos of it or draw it exactly how i want, its well annoying!

^I would love swallows too. Birds are just so divine.^_^

For something like this to appear amazing on me, I'd probably need darker skin. :ermm: ??? I really have no clue.

This is it healed. I LOVE this design and I love that so many people ask me about it when they see it. They constantly want to touch it and think I've been branded. HOT! The color has come down nicely but I will still get a touch up on the slightly grey edges. It worked very well for my skin tone.

This tattoo is probably a big older than the one above.

This is the white ink tattoo I got back in March. [PHOTO POSTED JUNE 20, 2009] As you can see, there is quite a bit of discoloring. I think I might get it touched up with white again, but I don't know if that will help.

I'm going to post a few more white tattoos from Flickr because many of the members there put up captions about their experiences with touch-ups and such, and it might help those in the thread interested in white ink. :flower:

This is my first tattoo, about two years old now. I had it touched up once, at about 6 months, because most of the H was not visible at all. It is white ink, and has faded/changed color just a little. It has a little bit of a yellowish tint to it, but that's fine with me, as I wanted it to be discreet, and white wasn't absolutely necessary. I get a lot of complements on it. The brown spot is a freckle.

Basically, all I read was that the white ink tattoos are touched-up at least ONCE. Some of them show up better than others, and I think that depends on what type of ink is used. Some show up actually WHITE while others just show up as scars.

Some people have horrible reactions to white ink, too, and their skin just blisters and scabs and gets horribly inflamed. So if your skin is sensitive, maybe ask your tattoo artist about that or do some reading. But I'm just paranoid.
