Seahorseinstripe, those are just incredible!!! Especially love the nape of neck tattoo, it's absolutely stunning.

ETA:- So many other amazing tatts here too.. I didn't realise that the page I clicked on wasn't the most recent, I've some reading through and catching up to do!

I have a tattoo I had done two weeks ago, also on the back of my neck. It's a lotus I designed myself and asked the tattoo artist to shade for me. [I'm Buddhist.] I've only the pic taken of it later that day, all red and covered in goop; I'll get one done tomorrow to show how it looks now.

Tatoo's!!!

i just got a tatoo today, in the inner part of my left arm (close to my heart) and i was just wondering if any of you guys have any tatoos???
p.s. you can post pics of yourself or people with tatoo's that you like or dislike!

Merged. Hi Dizzy...Please do a search before starting a new thread.

Thank You:flower:

i did an advance search, but nothing, anyway thanks for merging them woooo

just a tip..when you do the search..
choose the option that allows you to search for titles only..
as opposed to all posts..

it came up as the first option when i did that...^_^..

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo on the inside of my left wrist - how much will it hurt and how big is the chance that a vein gets damaged? thanks.

It will bleed, possibly more than other areas.
There would be some concern about the creases., IE..the ink wont last as long in creases.
If you pick a skilled and professional tattooist, there should be no problems with this choice of area.
It will hurt/ sting...but all depends on your own tolerance to pain.
Heres an article i found...might be of interest:

Thank you for the info and the link! I can handle pain pretty well I think.

I am thinking of getting a tattoo...not necessarily anytime soon, as I want to think on it a while, not just go on an impulse.
At the moment I want a SMALL heart outline, but with the outline being a thin line...something discreet. I had previously thought of getting a cross, anchor, and heart for "faith, hope, and love" but everything I drew out looked really cartoony. I'm a big believer in love being the source of all good, so the heart seems perfect.

All that to say- I am thinking about getting it really close to my hairline on the back of my neck so it will be easily hideable. I was reading up on how to 'heal' a tattoo, and it made me feel like something that close to, and possibly in, some of my hair (which I will want to wash often) will risk the tattoo healing properly. Everything I've read has mentioned not too much water, etc.
Any advice?

How about shaving a very small area around the intended area, possibly the tattooist will do this anyhow, and a waterproof plaster, covering new tat' when you wash your hair?
Not sure if the stuff youve already read, includes this:

Yeah, I read that most tattoists would shave a little if needed...so maybe I won't go "into" my hairline as planned.

Thanks, that article was helpful as well! It had stuff I hadn't read.

I am just worried that it will be more difficult to heal, especially since I am a girl and I play with my hair, brush it, wash it, etc...I feel like there's more risk of accidentally doing something wrong, you know? Maybe I'm paranoid...but I think it's worth it when I'm considering permanently putting ink in my skin;)

But thank you very much, Chrisdesigner! :flower:
