Tell Anna Wintour How To Improve / Revamp US Vogue

I know I probably complain about US Vogue at times. Sometimes they can really seem off the mark however overall I think that it's actually improved. The covers are usually much better then they have been over the last few years. And the content is pretty good (editorial and text wise). I feel like it's one of those magazines people love to rag on about- yet it's constantly one of the best selling fashion magazines (at least in the US). So Vogue must be doing something right. Of course sometimes I wish that the magazine took more risks but the consistency of Vogue is what I think makes it iconic. It's never not been itself; which is a magazine which caters to the high-end things in life.

I'm curious, what do you guys think is the real reason Anna keeps handing Trentini a Vogue paycheck over and over?

Is it because Anna's found someone who appeals to the massess: she's a normal (not strange), white-looking (Brazillian but could pass for white), reasonably shaped (not overly thin and definitely not fat), non threatening (she's no Cindy and she's no Hana) kind of girl?

Or is it because she's just plain lazy? Or is afraid to rock the boat with a new face?

Natalia Vodianova was another such "editorial capitalizing" girl, but even she didn't last this long. Karolina Kurkova held the reign for a while, but she was out of there way faster. Carmen Kass was another favorite but like Kurkova and Vodianova, her reign was limited. As far as queens go, Trentini has first place. Why? Is it even worth analyzing? I'm just soooo curious.

Holy smokes! This was written in 2007! Seven years later the trentini reign is still going on! This must be some sort of record.
