^ I really think its the luxurious contrast between the two skin colors. It can't always be dark skin on dark skin and light skin on light skin. Men are usually the object in fashion anyway.

i think the visually stunning contrast in skin tones (both of which look beautiful, silky, smooth) is what's striking here...
