Noticed that there was no Thanksgiving Sales thread, so I thought I'd start one..

Monday is known as "CyberMonday" with alot of retailers have special on-line only specials. Its meant to appeal to the sane people who don't go shopping on Black Friday Most don't advertise it, so the best advice I can give it keep an eye on your favorite sites on Monday.

It varies really, but Cyber Monday marks the shopping holiday season online. Its always a news story around Black Friday:

Ice.com is having some specials and give aways, and most big retailers like Best Buy, Target, Macys, etc participate.

JCPenney's and Kohl's are open at 4 AM for Black Friday.

ugh, its a great deal, but i can't deal with the crowds and the craziness. maybe saturday, but the deals are just not worth the stress

I know quite a few places (outlet malls) are opening at midnight

Black Friday.

A mall near me is opening at midnight. Jamba Juice is opening at 3 AM. It's madness.

I know, the first thing I think of when it comes to sales is buying a smoothie.

Other than that, I think just about every popular store you can think of is having some form of sale. Most of the deals come from actually going to the store and using coupons, buying doorbusters, etc. But then you run the risk of being trampled by the hundreds of people who decided to do the same thing as you.

I know, the mall north of the one I work at did Midnight Madness and they had about 20000 people. People were knocking over barricades and everything. Then I get to my store, and our mall is relaxed. I can honestly say it was not crazy-busy. Part of it was because we opened at 6 and we assumed people would come over after camping out at Best Buy (we have a Best Buy across the street from my mall) but it never really got that bad. Almost like you could take a break for coffee.

yeah i got two pairs of lanvin flats at barneys outlet in riverhead on long island in ny. for 170! love it! and a 100% cashmere coat for 399 from 798!

Indeed I am talking about Alderwood. I know all Premium Outlets (ie the ones in Marysville and North Bend) opened at midnight and it was chaotic there. I would have NEVER considered doing Midnight Madness...except for the fact that I am a night person. I am hoping that it doesn't become something that all malls do next year but the malls that do it are certainly seeing the benefits. No matter how inhumane they might be.

today i was hoping to get some goodies... left over from black friday.

first went to rodeo drive in beverly hills to check out saks fifth avenue, barneys ny, and neiman marcus but ended up only checking saks but didnt get anything. then went to beverly center.. NADA.. i dont like that mall cause the only place worth going for me is bloomingdales but they didnt have anything that appealed to me and not that many stuff on sale... then went to the grove.. checked out barneys ny co-op.. found this mike & chris leather jacket on sale but the color was 'bone', sort of ivory-ish and i wanted black but apparently it was sold out.. then went to nordstrom and i found these patent dark red repetto shoes on sale and i had to get them..

thats all i got... a pair of patent repetto shoes..... at least i got one thing that was on sale..

urghh i shouldve checked barneys ny in rodeo to see if they had lanvin flats on sale.. i need at least one pair of lanvin flats!
